A master class in irony

Here’s the thing about libs. They demand that you deny plain evidence right in front of your eyes. If they say so, up must be down, hot must be cold, in must be out. It’s bizzaro-world. And they know it’s bizzaro-world. They just want you to take that first step to compromise your personal integrity and get with them onto that slippery slope.

Even without regard to the political message, this video is a master class in irony. Swap the names out, if you want.

“…When people are forced to repeat the lies, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To asent to obvious lies is in some small way to become evil oneself.” — Theodore Dalrymple

@teomatteo…Thank you! That is a DYNAMITE quote.

  3. teomatteo says:

cblanch912 here is the entire quote:
” Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.
    —Theodore Dalrymle (Anthony Malcolm Daniels)

Sadly our bishopettes agree with the DNC.

I don’t call that video irony. I call that parody. It’s hilarious!

  6. SKAY says:

Thankfully Archbishop Vigano knows and tells the the truth.

That was a brilliant video – thanks for posting it, Fr Z.

As a resident of Great Britain, I have no vote, but if I did, I’d vote for Mr Trump. He’s better than Joe Biden for sure, and I believe it’s in Britain’s interest that Trump should remain as president.

One thing that seems odd about American elections, though, is that the left-wing party is blue and the more right-wing one is red on maps and diagrams. In Britain, the left-wing party, Labour, has always been the red party (like the Communists’ Red Flag) and the right-wing party, the Conservative Party, is blue.

    As a registered…. democrat – I *approve* this message! :^)

  9. Chrisc says:

    Simon,
I believe it was in 1980 that the media just all magically decided to switch the party colors, because, you know, reasons. Clearly it had nothing to do with moving the democrats away from any appearance of communism, while at the same time they actually began ideologically moving towards it. Surely that is pure coincidence.

  10. WVC says:

Well done video. This campaign has spurred on some great stuff. For anyone who hasn’t already seen them:

    Weekend at Biden’s:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qu6PH9E5jiA

And “How to Spot a Zombie” – aired DURING AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead” TV show:

Really top notch quality. I could probably be entertained by an entire “Weekend at Biden’s” movie.

Found this in the comments of another You tube Biden corn-pop video:

“Just hang a flag in his basement and give him a desk. He’d have no clue and think he actually won. “

  12. Sandy says:

WVC, “Weekend at Biden’s” is a riot! Rather, it would be if it were not true :(
Father, your entry is great satire. Hoping and praying that there are enough intelligent people in this country to give us the right man, not a socialist who is a dupe for the Marxists.

  13. hwriggles4 says:

I just hope that voters between 60 and 100 possess enough common sense to realize that the Democratic party of 2020 is not the same Democratic party that Joe Biden belonged to in 1972, when he was first elected to the Senate.

I remember James Webb being asked in 2016 “why are you still a Democrat?” and I thought John Delaney was an anomaly in today’s Democratic party.

I also hope that low information voters who go to vote on Tuesday don’t just think, “who is the Democrat running?” Unfortunately, that scenario is not uncommon in urban areas.

  14. Semper Gumby says:

Bravely bold Sir Biden rode forth from Delaware.
He was not afraid to vote, O brave Sir Biden.
He was not at all afraid to fight the fracking,
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Biden!

*Solid Pennsylvania citizens arrive at a Biden rally honking their horns, Biden calls them “chumps” then wanders back to his bus.*

    Brave Sir Biden ran away,
    Bravely ran away, away.
When Corn Pop reared his ‘Merican head,
he bravely turned his tail and fled.

Yes, brave Sir Biden turned about
    And gallantly, he chickened out.
    Bravely taking to his feet,
He beat a very brave retreat,
Bravest of the brave, Sir Biden.

(A cold bottle of Yuengling to a buddy in Pennsylvania who suggested Biden’s quest in that state should be glorified by a minstrel.)

    [He’s back.]

  15. Semper Gumby says:

Friar Z: Aye confeff the lyrics are from the Bayeux Tapeftry.

To the Tale there be more:

To Pennfylvania wit ful devout corage, Wel nyne and twenty in our companye, Of sondry folke in felawshipe, and pilgrims were we alle,

    until arrivede we at taverne.

My buddye with hif fist smoot me on my heed. Aye saide: “O, hast thou slain me, false thief?” Aye wit my fiste so took him on the cheeke, he fil backwarde adown.

    (Then we ordered pizza.)

  16. chesterton63 says:

The Democratic Party is such a good party that they don’t need ads to win the election.
Because, actually, they don’t even need voters. They just need ballots.
