Continued from THESE.
I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.
We should support each other in works of mercy.
As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand.
If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below. You have to be registered here to be able to post.
But, registered or not, please take a moment to pray for the people about whom you read here below.
Finally, I have two serious needs. I don’t know to resolve them. It looks like prayer may be the only way to bring swift help.
Please pray for a personal intention held deep within my heart. It is urgent and the salvation of souls depend upon it.
For my father, who is battling terminal brain cancer and in need of conversion. For my brother, who is addicted to drugs. For my sister, who is an unbeliever. For my sister-in-law, who is mentally ill and has a severe eating disorder. For the family whose son/brother was stillborn this past week. For the sanctity of my marriage and the holiness of my children. And for all of those intentions for which I do not have in the forefront of my mind. Lord Jesus, hear me.
Oh yes, for my friend Yvonne and her three very young children. Her husband is leaving her.
Please pray for my late uncle’s neice and her family, her toddler drowned yesterday at day care.
I will pray for all your intentions, please pray for the conversion of my children who are so far from our Lord. For my autistic grandson who is 11 years old who has started to talk about wanting to end his life because he finds living so very hard and so full of fear. He suffers from the affects of a broken home and parents who are to busy fighting to see how hard it is for him to go back and force from mom and dad. And for a private intention concerning a Priest.
After wrestling with myself, for fear of retribution from my employer, regarding standing up for a former co-worker in a grave matter, I’ve decided that it’s something that I must do. I’m self-supporting and am in a vulnerable financial position, so I am asking for prayers that I suffer no retribution or ill will from this decision.
Also, as executors, my sibling and his/her spouse have manipulated our parents’ estate for the benefit of their child (including said child, who is unmarried, living in our parents’ home with his/her significant other, which I am upset about). Per attorneys, I have grounds on which to have them removed. Whether I do or not, I’m in a lose/lose situation for obvious reasons, and others which I cannot share. I am going to confront them as charitably as I can, and see what happens. Please pray that they rectify the wrong they’ve done (and are doing) with minimal effort on my part to get them to do so.
Thank you so much for any prayers offered for me.
For Fr. M., our young pastor, that he will be happy and nice again, and for me, that I will be able to deal with him. Please pray for all priests. Thank you for all your prayers.
That I can find a Bishop willing to give me a chance to become a Priest and that Fr. J gets better soon
Please pray for victims of the severe storms brought about by the southwest monsoon here. Half of the national capital region is flooded. Thousands are homeless or stranded. Sixty have already died. And the worst is still yet to come, as a potential typhoon may be coming in next week.
AD IESV PER MARIA,
Filipino Catholic.
I will pray for all intentions listed here. Please be so kind as to pray for my husband’s conversion.
For those who have friends or relatives with autism or eating disorders, please at once check Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride’s GAPS book on Amazon.
Please pray for a man recovering from a heart attack and a little baby who just had a brain tumor removed.
For my future, which is unsettled, for three serious injuries to my foot which are not healing properly, for cataracts which are growing in both of my eyes as side effects of medication, and for a friend of mine who needs healing as well. Thank you and I pray for all those needs written here, and especially for you Fr. Z.
For all here listed, for grandson born yesterday with severe cerebral paralysis, barely breathing alone , unable to suckle etc, and especially for his parents with one special child already, to strengthen their married faith, For the millions of forgotten persecuted christians around the world.
For suffering priests everywhere and for a couple of personal intentions. Thank you. I pray for you and your tough situations. God bless you!
For the Holy Souls in Purgatory who have no one to pray for them and the souls of my friends and family in Purgatory.
For my elderly mother, whose health continues to fail, for my two best friends who have both been unemployed for over a year, for my niece, that the court hearing this coming Monday may result in her being allowed to live with my ex-husband until she turns 18, for her mother and step-father who have abused her, yet continue to deny it. For all people who feel unloved and unwanted and who have no one to pray for them.
For Valery, Austin, Brian, and the other men in formation in preparation for a life as an ordained priest.
For Albert and others who face serious health issues.
May they know the peace that passes understanding and be not afraid, confident that Jesus is with them and has given them brothers to walk with them in prayerful support.
For a special intention that is a personal matter for me. I will pray for all the intentions listed here and for those who will post.
God bless!
My husband is leaving me next month, high and dry after 18 years. We’re going in this morning to discuss the details with lawyers. I don’t know what kind of miracle I need, but I strongly feel that my children and I could use one. Please pray for us.
Pax et bonum,
DJ
For an older woman who is in financial need for basic living expenses and medical treatment. For a family whose parents are both disabled, for healing for them and for a good outcome for their son who is dicerning a vocation to the priesthood. For a good and holy man to be named bishop in our diocese (quickly)!
ALMIGHTY God, the fountain of all wisdom, who knowest our necessities before we ask, and our ignorance in asking; We beseech thee to have compassion upon our infirmities; and those things which for our unworthiness we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask, vouchsafe to give us, for the worthiness of thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
I am praying for all of you by meditating on Jesus’ agony in the garden of Gethsemane. Today is Friday: the memory of the Lord’s Passion.
Deliberatejoy-several years ago I was going through a difficult time in my marriage (it had not progressed as far as this), I prayed to Blessed Pope John Paul II for intercession and was answered most wonderfully. Will keep you, and all of you, in prayers this morning.
And for my great Aunt Ann, who recently died.
For my sister, who received news yesterday that she has thyroid cancer. Also for our Mom, who will just about die from fear when she hears the news.
Please pray for me that God will grant me the grace to overcome the sins I struggle with on a daily basis. Actually let me amend that to God granting us all the grace to overcome the sins we all struggle with on a daily basis.
I am quite humbled by all these prayer requests and will certainly pray for relief and that God’s will be done. (Thank you, Father Z, for listening to my complaints in the past.)
For my uncle, who has discovered has cancer. thanks to the wonders of socialised medicine, this was missed by his GP for some time, dispite his being repeatedly pointed out to him that there was a problem, the delay has made treatment far more complicated.
I will pray for everyone here. May God bless and keep you all.
My issues are small compared to some of these but I still need the assistance of my fellow members of the Church Militant. I ask for prayers that I be able to pay promptly my college tuition this coming year – may take a minor miracle; and that I be able to get a student loan quickly to help with this. St. Thomas Aquinas, pray for us!
Also, prayers for my sister and her boyfriend as they discern marriage; and for a severely depressed friend.
I offer my prayers today for the intentions already requested, those intentions that will be stated, and the intentions needed or desired but not posted by those who read this.
I humbly ask for prayers for my intentions regarding employment.
I will pray for all these intentions.
Please pray for three children and their mother. They have suffered and are suffering unspeakable cruelty at her hands. She has dabbled in the occult, drugs and has had numerous men in her life. She is now dying of cancer and refuses the sacraments. Her “husband” wants custody but he is as bad as she is. Pray she repents and may her children heal and practice the Catholic faith.
i will pray for all of your intentions. Bishop Latino of Jackson Ms. is set to turn in his retirement this November. I beg you all to please, please pray that the new Bishop will be more, no, i’m going to reach for the stars here. Please pray that the new Bishop is an FSSP Priest! its time and nothing is impossible when Our Lady asks.
Domus1967–i know someone who had her entire thyroid removed due to cancer. she is still walking around and working. no matter what doctors tell you God still has the last word. St. Peregrine is the patron Saint of cancer patients. The Memorare and the 24 hour Novena to the Infant of Prague will keep her sane. praying for her.
For a whole bucketful of urgent intentions.
For the new archbishop of San Francisco, that he may convert the city.
When I read these intentions, I realize how truly blessed I am; it’s almost embarrassing. I got misty just reading them.
I have a long commute each day, and I will offer my rosary for you all.
To Jesus through Mary,
Mark
Thank you Mariana for the infomation on the book, I have already looked at some information on the internet and it looks very interesting. I am going to buy the book for my grandson’s mother and work with her. I hope this will bring him some releif. Deo Gracias, You do work in wonderful ways.
I will pray for you all. And in turn I ask your prayers for my elderly parents who are in frail health, for me – I am my father’s caretaker, for my children that they might return to the faith and for my grandchildren that they might become something more than just cultural Catholics.
For Fr. Z’s intentions.
For everyone’s intentions I will pray. Please pray for my daughter’s health and my husband’s conversion.
For my husband’s health. New issues have arisen.
For our Bishop (preferably a new one) and his leadership (or lack thereof) in instilling a holy zeal in his priests.
Took all your requests to Our Lord yesterday (Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament)
And intend to take them again today (2 local parishes have Exposition one on Thursday , the other on Friday)
Will pray for all the above posted requests and any more added during the day.
Especially Fr. Z. and his special serious needs that the Holy Spirit will guide him,
and for all priests on this blog and elsewhere who are having special problems for we know not what they suffer in silence.
For suffering marriages and health issues.
Please pray for a seminarian who had a cancerous tumor removed this past Tuesday.
I am asking prayer for my sister who has advanced Lyme disease (neurological) and a host of secondary infections including systemic candida and bacterial infections. She does not tolerate medicine well even under the best conditions and she is despairing. Please pray for her, her husband and her two children. Thank you.
Father Z, I will be praying for your intentions and will take them to Mass and my Holy Hour this weekend and I will be praying for all these intentions listed today.
I will pray for everyone here. May God bless and keep you all.
I am grateful for everyone’s prayers on behalf of my son. His surgery went well:we could not have asked for a better outcome!
My remaining issues are small compared to some of these but I still need the assistance of my fellow members of the Church Militant. I ask for prayers that I be able to meet all my financial obligations (including part time grad school tuition this coming year, as well as continue to build my family business).
Also, please pray for those members of my family who have become involved in the new age/occult, that they may repent.
Finally, please pray on behalf of all clergy and religious: may god protect them in their vows and service to our Lord.
I will pray for all of you and for the intentions of Father Z.
and for my personal intention which will require a miracle.
Prayers for my husband who has been sick for the past 15 months, that doctors will be able to find a diagnosis. He has promised to visit the shrine of St Charbel in Lebanon, if he is able.
Also a son who is marrying a Catholic woman who is struggling with her catholicity because of the bishops and others, lack of prompt response to abuse. God grant that we are able to support her in her doubts and by example help her home to comfort in the True church.
Lost a friend to lung cancer this week and have another with esophageal cancer. I believe a lot of suffering has to do with the lack of moral behavior and true communion within our church. All those suffering have been called to share the Cross of Christ. He is reaching out to us, asking us to join Him on the Cross of salvation.
I need a miracle too, for my 2nd son, a miracle of conversion. He is 27 y.o. His 4 siblings are devout catholics, and some among his friends are, too.
But he is uncertain about all, about Faith, about his future. He has no job and lives with us at home. I would like so much that he changes his life!
For my father, who lost his job because of the economical crisis.
I will pray for all of you at Vespers tonight!
For my son’s family: his daughter is autistic, his wife is seriously ill, and last week, he lost his job.
My prayer requests are as follows: for your intentions, for a special intention for our family, for the sanctification of our family, for my mother, Mary Anne, and for all of our priest and seminarian friends. God bless you! :)
I will pray for all the intentions mentioned here. Please join me in prayer for the conversion of my wife and our children (I received the Lord only when I have already had them all). And also for our new priest, Fr.J, who arrived to our parish a month ago and it seems there lies quite a bumpy road ahead of us. He cancelled our Saturday 1962 Mass, as well as the regular, N.O. Mass on Friday. There are other issues too. Thank you all and God bless.
For my mother, Kathleen, who was diagnosed with cancer last Tuesday.
I am glad to see Bishop Cordileone mentioned above. I second prayers for the work God has given him, and add the request that people also pray for his safety.
Please pray for the conversion of my friends JB, DG and KY, that I can be used by the Holy Spirit should our Lord desire it, to be ready to explain our Faith with charity and clarity if need be, and for the conversion of our separated brethren everywhere. In Christ and with many thanks, God Bless You. I will pray and ask Our Blessed Mother’s intercession for all of you and your prayers and intentions through Christ Our Lord.
Thanks to everybody who prayed for me to find a full-time job — I’ve got one now, and I start paid training on Monday! Please pray for me to keep the job and do well at it, and that I will be safe in all this new stuff.
I will pray for everybody’s intentions.
Please pray for my mother’s health and for my lapsed brothers and sisters. I will pray for everyone intentions especially for Fr. Z’s. While we’re at it, pray for my personal intentions as well.
I really need some prayers. I’ve been experiencing horrible temptations lately and feelings of despair. Also I would appreciate prayers for my non-Catholic (some of them are ex-Catholic) relatives. Some of them are older or ill.
For the sisters who cling to heresy and false teaching, and those they instruct (myself included) so that we be able to discern truth from falsehood and thus keep ourselves and help keep others on the right path.
