Hell’s Bible coverage of the Pope in Brazil

CATEGORY: SESSIUNCULUM — Fr. John Zuhlsdorf @ 11:27 am

In a Brazilian stadium the Holy Father met with thousands of young people chanting "Yes to Life! No to abortion!" while they were waiting for his arrival.

The New York Times covered the event on page A10.

On A1 you find, however, a riveting story on roadside debris in California.

On A25 there is a story about Rudi Giuliani’s abortion position, with nary a mention of the dust up over the Holy Father’s comments concerning Catholic pro-abortion politicians.  Hmmmm…

In the meantime, in the Op-Ed section there is a piece entitled "Sowing the Substance of Life".

While this title applies nicely to what the Pope is doing in Brazil, it actually concerns a supernova 240 million lightyears from Earth – nearly as far as the editors of the NYT are from what counts.
