The blog Catholic Church Conservative is all over German issues.
Thanks to a reader who alerted me I learned of a point of consideration in the Diocese of Linz, Austria, where there was a vast and harmful flap about the appointment of a more conservative priest, Fr. Wagner, as the new auxiliary bishop.
Rage rose against this priest from the liberals in Austria to the point – and this is where the lasting harm comes in – Pope Benedict eventually backed down and dispensed the priest from being consecrated after he was chosen to be bishop.
This is a pattern now… remember the Archdiocese of Warsaw?
So… what is going on in Linz?
Apparently there is a priest who blesses homosexual couples.
Why would Linz need a conservative auxiliary?
