Sending KUDOS and asking a favor… pretty please?

From my friend in the UK Mulier Fortis:

Congratulations …

…to His Hermeneuticalness, on achieving 2,000,000 visits earlier this month.

I believe that he gets around 2500 hits each day, and that’s not counting all the people who read the blog via blog aggregates (some of these don’t appear on the SiteMeter stats.)
That is seriously impressive for a busy Parish Priest.
Alas, I have yet to hit even my first half million…

Please do poor, tired Fr. Z a favor.

Go ping Mulier Fortis and give her stats a huge boost.   EVERYONE.  Take a sec and JUST CLICK.

Do just say, "I’ll let someone else do it."

If even 1 in 4 of you readers visit her page, she should get a nice surprise.

And I send WDTPRS kudos to His Hermeneuticalness for 2 mill!

That’s awesome! I very much admire this blog, and am happy for it! But just remember, if poll numbers dictated truth, Brad Pitt would be the Messiah! I doubt Jesus was winning popularity contests the night He was betrayed. This is not to diminish this fine blog, but to keep things in perspective. [Here is something for your perspective: have some fun! o{]:¬) ]

On the other hand, it is a great hope that so many people frequent this (Fr. Z’s) blog as well as Hermeneuticalness! I was beginning to think the entire world had gone hay-wire!

    That is awesome! Congratulations!

  6. His H. has a wonderful spot on a Brendan O’Neill who takes on Mssr. Hitchens and Dawkins (Mr.O’Neill being a fellow-atheist, but one with some sense in his head). It’s well worth reading just for a “breath of fresh air” and even a sense that all will be well with the world, even with atheists around…there are few who haven’t gone “bonkers”!:<)!

  8. Dr. Eric says:

I think I’m the only one who has ever visited my blog, besides the spammers.

  9. kelleyb: Thanks, “tired Granny”…I’ll remember that!:<)! Me poor tired brain, well ya’ know all ’bout it, yeah?

  10. Vincenzo says:

Dr., I just did. Interesting blog. Fix your URL in your WDTPRS profile – you have http://doctoreric@wordpress.com/ with the “@” instead of the period -> http://doctoreric.wordpress.com/

  11. Dr. Eric, I did try to get on your blog; problems with getting on it. Probably my fault. I will try, though!

  12. Thanks, Vincenzo; you’re the best! Got on Dr. Eric’s blog.

  13. Done on all counts. Sheesh, with only 80,000 hits in three years, ?Dominican Liturgy really is the bush leagues …

  14. Fr. Augustine: It’ll get traction. Keep writing the truth!

  15. WOW ! Fr. Z you are just so sweet to me!
    ;-)

It was one heck of a shock. I went to bed just after midnight with the visits at 6, and got up at 8am to find that I had over 1,000 !

When are you due back in Blighty for a visit?

  16. Joan M says:

Just visited Mulier Fortis. I have now added that blog to my list of blogs to visit regularly.

I particularly liked the video on “fork handles” – it gave me a good laugh. I need to show it to my husband this evening!
