London: Catholic Blogger Guild meeting commences

The meeting of a Guild of Catholic Bloggers has started at Brompton Oratory. First, of course, is Holy Mass at the altar of Our Lady of Sorrows.

I think the late Fr Hugh Thwaites would be pleased.

Out of curiosity, which person in the pics above is Dylan Parry?

  2. Girgadis says:

Father, please tell dear Mr. Richard Collins that his friend Joyce sends her prayers and best wishes. Thank you and enjoy.

  3. acardnal says:

Aaahhh. . . .what I wouldn’t do right now for a nice pint!

  4. irishgirl says:

Regarding that second picture with you and Fr. Finegan, Father Z: ooooo, you look verrry stern!
You look as though you want to ‘whomp’ The Bitter Pill!
    Sic’em, Father Z, sic’em!
    ; )

  5. Edprocoat says:

Fr. Z. you kind of scared me with that look ! I used to see that same look from my dad frequently during my teen years.

Fr Z and Fr F, Greeting from across the ocean. Looks like you’re having a smashing time. Simply brilliant. Wish I were there. Keep Calm; Carry On. Godspeed. Your American cousins send their prayers and best wishes to our brethren in the UK. Enjoy the Pimms, Fr.Z

The Hour Glass seems like a great place.

Wondering if the Thwaites was at room temperature?

Thought I would hate warm beer until I crossed the pond several years ago.

    . . . “Cheers” to you all!

  8. wanda says:

Ooooh, what Vincenzo could do with that picture. Laser beams shooting out of your eyes – the Tablet going up in flames.

  9. RichR says:

Love the last photo. Too cool.

  10. Charles E Flynn says:

I suspect that the look of enjoyment on Father’s face as he spends some time with an ordinary minister of a lime wedge-equipped drink is genuine, and the stern look of the second photo draws upon his Renaissance Fair acting experience.

We should not pick on The Tablet too much, as they must be under tremendous pressure to finish their documentary on The Last of the Large Pseudo-Puppets before they run out of money.

  11. Indulgentiam says:

That last picture brought back memories. The look on Father Finigan’s face reminded me of the one my dad leveled on me, usually proceeded by an incredulous “you did what?” The look on your face Father Z looks like it can call down fire and brimstone, yikes!
I hope you tell jokes and laugh till your sides ache and your cares melt away, enjoy!

  12. anthtan says:

May I suggest that in the last photo Fr. Finigan bears more than a passing resemblance to Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean).

  13. mike cliffson says:

    Second RichR!
    Like!

  14. amsjj1002 says:

That last picture is a keeper!

  15. Andrew says:

I am glad Fr Z you do these fun blognics all over the place. But when are you going to do one in Australia? You havve a lot of supporters here.

  16. Andrew: I haven’t any immediate plans for Australia. There hasn’t been an occasion for me to travel there yet.
