Looks like the cast party for “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthurs Court”,without der Bingle of course
I wonder what these people oppinion may be about the older form of Mass. They seem to be happy with the “extravagant” form of the Mass.
Other than the obvious atrocities of a crowd in the sanctuary and the very leggy outfits…
How are some of these costumes so different from Knights of Colombus in their full regalia -including the headgear- participating in Masses?
I have no problem with the Knights of course, but I feel as though they should remove their headgear before entering a church. I’m sure there are rules regarding this of which I am unaware.
A “Fasching Messe”? Are they singing “Suki-suki” and doing the “chicken dance”?
Ich bin wirklich sprachloss!
Today’s anti-spam word is certainly germane: “Pray for our priests”
I think these photos originated from CathCon…to give credit where credit is due…
I’m not sure about the Knights, but in the military you always keep your cover (headgear) on when under arms- and the 4th degrees always have their swords on.
Boy, this looks like a Ziegfeld’s Follies production. I
guess the Motu Proprio was issued in the nick of time!
Tom
I’m now blind.
Richard said :”I’m not sure about the Knights, but in the military you always keep your cover (headgear) on when under arms- and the 4th degrees always have their swords on.”
That is correct. One remains covered when under arms.
Quamdiu, Domine?
Even the Swiss Guard (under arms with halberds, etc.) remains covered during Mass.
This crowd? No excuse.
So, the “radical Traditionalists” are “outside the Church,” but these clowns (literally and figuratively) are in “full communion with Rome?”
Uh, has anyone seen my adult beverage? I need it right now…
That type of B.S. is why I left the parish that is near my home and drive over an hour to the next Catholic Church and over two hours to the Extraordinary Mass every other week! However, at that near parish the “Mass†is sometimes festively “celebrated†on a lake and the priest is in a swimsuit and the older women (over 60) are in (Yuk) Bikinis and all of this in several pontoon boats. I have never seen the shameful display first hand, but regrettably have seen the photos. The “celebrations†in the Church are not that different.
Are you sure this isn’t the all-female version of The Pirates of Penzance?
Still, it is amazing to see women with their heads covered at Mass.
About the Knights, they do take the hats off at the Concecration & point towards the altar in a salute to Christ who is now present there under the forms of bread & wine.
One of the “girls” in photo #4 looks like a man in drag, to me.
Of course, I could be wrong …
And singing… all together, folks: “I love you, you love me, never mind that dead guy hanging on the tree, ‘cos you and me’s what it’s all about, let’s give one more communal shout: US, US, US… YAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY WE ARE WONDERFUL!!”
