Thanks everyone for helping make this blog a success!
And thanks to #2,000,000 … I don’t know who you are, but you got it.

“He [Satan] will set up a counter-Church which will be the ape of the Church because, he the devil, is the ape of God. It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content. It will be a mystical body of the anti-Christ that will in all externals resemble the mystical body of Christ. In desperate need for God, whom he nevertheless refuses to adore, modern man in his loneliness and frustration will hunger more and more for membership in a community that will give him enlargement of purpose, but at the cost of losing himself in some vague collectivity.”
“Who is going to save our Church? Not our bishops, not our priests and religious. It is up to you, the people. You have the minds, the eyes, and the ears to save the Church. Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops act like bishops.”

That way I have steady income I can plan on, and you wind up regularly on my list of benefactors for whom I pray and for whom I periodically say Holy Mass.
In view of the rapidly changing challenges I now face, I would like to add more $10/month subscribers. Will you please help?

"But if, in any layman who is indeed imbued with literature, ignorance of the Latin language, which we can truly call the 'catholic' language, indicates a certain sluggishness in his love toward the Church, how much more fitting it is that each and every cleric should be adequately practiced and skilled in that language!" - Pius XI
"Let us realize that this remark of Cicero (Brutus 37, 140) can be in a certain way referred to [young lay people]: 'It is not so much a matter of distinction to know Latin as it is disgraceful not to know it.'" - St. John Paul II
Grant unto thy Church, we beseech Thee, O merciful God, that She, being gathered together by the Holy Ghost, may be in no wise troubled by attack from her foes. O God, who by sin art offended and by penance pacified, mercifully regard the prayers of Thy people making supplication unto Thee, and turn away the scourges of Thine anger which we deserve for our sins. Almighty and Everlasting God, in whose Hand are the power and the government of every realm: look down upon and help the Christian people that the heathen nations who trust in the fierceness of their own might may be crushed by the power of thine Arm. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. R. Amen.

since Sat., 25 Nov. 2006:
What does it means zero seconds of visit length?
Congratulations on your blog! I learn so much by
reading it.
May God continue blessing you
Congrats Father!
Derik: Zero seconds of length means that the person visited the site and stayed an indeterminate amount of time before exiting by using the bookmarks or favorites or some other means. Sitemeter can only determine the length of a visit by tracking how long a time it is between the initial visit and the clicking on a link internal to the webpage. If that second click is never made, the it cannot gauge the time and it records that as O seconds.
Oh, Father, congratulations, I am just nearing 200,00 since May 2006, so I can’t even imagine ten times the traffic. Again, congratulations.
Father Z
A prize???!!!

I had already suggested an autographed copy of the 1962 Missal but I think one must be present to win. 0 seconds is not much “present.”
I for one have spent many (perhaps too many) minutes browsing this blog.
Fr. Z., Thank you for your work. It is a most informative, instructive and inspiring blog on the liturgy.
Please keep up the great service to the Church.

All that data is off of one hit? Eek.
BTW, I think the “zero seconds” means that person must have just logged on to this site ( presumably by accident ) and then clicked off right away, as though it was a mistake. It’s done by clicking off the browser entirely, not just hitting the Stop button. I’ve done that before.
In all, congrats to the 2,000,000th visitor to this blog, Father Z. Perhaps as Kevin suggested, you can give the person an autgraphed copy of the Tridentine Missal… or any one of your great books. That would be a totally gift for such a milestone as this. :-)
Congratulation on getting so many hits.
Congratulations on getting so many hits on your blog.
Lucky for some: I’m only a beginner…
Looks like a fellow Albany Diocese person! Looking at the post, if one reads it they should know if it was them.
Well I just made 50,000 in a year!
Can you visit Birmingham while you’re in England? It’s the middle of the country & I live in the Oratory Parish set up by Newman?

Congratulations Father Z,
I know for sure that I spend way to much time on your blog, God Bless, and a sincere Thank You for all that you do for the church and for us all. I’m sure that I do not only speak for my self when I say that you help us all feel connected to the Church at large. Thanks
Did I hear “prize”? It was me, it was me! OK, I can’t back that up. Congratulations, Father Z. You have a wonderful blog—truly first rate—and it brings joy and blessings to all of us who read it. Now let’s see if we can all spread the word and get that number to 3 million.
Zero seconds just means that the person did not click on another link in the blog. If you just view the main page, it doesn’t keep track of how long you were on it until you click on another page on the blog.
Still, it’s not surprising that you have that many hits. This is my favorite blog of the Catholic blogosphere.
Congrats.
Congratulations Father,
I am also guilty of spending way to much time on your blog. Thanks for all you do and God Bless
Congratulations on reaching 2 million hits.
I’ll have a glass of red wine tonight, and toast to the continued success and blessings brought about by this wonderful endeavor and to the health of our gifted paternal polyglot!
