“Worship leaders”?
What the ??? is a worship leader?
With the USCCB it seems that they go two steps forward and one step back.
Is it still expected to be Advent 2010, or is it being pushed back to 2011? Just curious.
I found it very amusing that when I clicked on the button labelled “extraordinary form” it came up with “page not found”.
Do we think this is deliberate? At any rate it made me chuckle!
The translation sturck me as very good, though some phrases were a little cumbersone; I expect we shall get used to them though.
Fra Alban – the link is only broken on that particular page. It works on the other pages of the Liturgy subsection.

In a recent article on US Catholic’s site
http://www.uscatholic.org/church/2009/07/mixed-messages
there is reference to the fact that the ICEL worked with the Protestant ICET on the now lame-duck versions of the English Mass translation. This was news to me. I have tried to find out more about this, and wonder if anyone can point me to appropriate web sites that describe the process involved.
By the way, the author laments the unilateral approach now underway by the ICEL to improve the translation. A big loss to ecumenism, in his view.
