Dear Mr. Dawkins:
I am sitting in the smallest room in my house. I have your book in front of me. Soon it will be behind me.
(I didn’t come up with this!)
Mark: I see you have the proper sense of this.
I learn so much from this blog. Thank you. :)
When I think of Dawkins i pity him, such a great mind, yet he chooses to waste it on ranting against God whilst other great men such as Dr Fansisco Ayala and Dr Francis Collins (two bioligists of the same stature of Dawkins) see in their work the Glory of God
Interesting picture of those two relaxing over drinks by the pool. Funny how you never meet a poor Militant Atheist intellectual. Strange that they all seem to live a life of decandent opulence.
I guess they don’t require the dignity and graces made avaialble to us through the blessed sacraments. The grace and dignity which help us through the daily grinding humilatiations and hardships of modern life.
Eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die! (Except we don’t)
Men like Hitchens and Dawkins are the best refutation of men like Hitchens and Dawkins.
When I call to mind Hitchens I think of anger and joylessness.
When I call to mind Dawkins I think of a sneer.
They are so repulsive and unattractive that I know their is an Absolute Good they’ve fallen from.
These men are the antithesis of the saints, and they remind us that personal holiness, and the joy that comes out of it, is the greatest tool for evangelization.
God, help them.
In my limited experience with athiests there are two things I have noted: that they offer contempt as an answer to religion, and that they are desperate for company.
It’s as though they believe the empty tomb that is their home can be made more comfortable by trapping companions.
Atheism is a scourge that is ascending to us and will fully reveal its stinger very soon, I am afraid.
