Pray God it happens in droves!
Great news!
That’s so cool!
In both cases, the first conversation concerned the mug, not my Roman collar.
This is the great Fr. Brent Shelton, whose EF Mass I attend daily (except for his equally reverent OF on Saturdays). Perhaps his Roman collar complemented the cassock which I seldom see him without, though covered at Mass by the beautiful Roman vestments that he wears for both the OF and the EF. Check also his fine blog at http://fathershelton.blogspot.com/
Wow!
That’s what happens when you put the Pope’s mug on yours…. :)
Isn’t Starbucks a large supporter of Planned Parenthood and one of the Gay men’s societies.
This is nice to hear. Priests need to be out and about. When we hide in our rectories or never wear our collars in public, we lose opportunities to witness to who we are.
Wow – great news!
What a great priest, a real priest who wants to save souls! In the mold of Fr. Z! Let us pray that all priests will remember what their primary duty is – a spiritual one, not social, political, etc. God bless all you priests who bring Our Dear Lord to us every day.
WOW! God can even work through coffee mugs. :D
@THREEHEARTS: As I recall, Starbucks is one of those companies that is really into matching employee contributions. It does match contributions to some pretty questionable (or, in the case of Planned Parenthood, not at all questionable) organizations, but I believe it also matches contributions to morally neutral or positive organizations, too.
Incidentally, this post has spurred me to order my very own “Oremus Pro Pontifice” travel mug, which I (a college student) intend to bring to school on a daily basis in the fall! (The school paper recently published an editorial referring to the Church as an “international terrorist organization”, so the mug should be a good conversation starter…)
Glory be to God….the PRIEST MUGS somebody at Starbucka and they return to the Church because of it…Now if the NY TIMES would get hold of THAT!
Onesimus2 – nice!
UbiCaritas – bless your heart! Great thing about school papers – they’ll print almost anything…
That’s just plain AWESOME! I think I may have to get one of Fr. Z’s mugs to take to the sem. :D
