A request to readers for help

Would you say a prayer to St. Anthony for me?  I lost something important to me which I would very much like to recover.

I mislaid my commonplace book, in which I have been recording quotes, occasions, writing about travels and museum visits, especially those where photos are not allowed, etc.

  4. Liz says:

I will pray, Father. I love St. Anthony. Living in a large family we ask for his intercession countless times a day.

  5. Mariana says:

    Of course.

  6. O holy St. Anthony, special heavenly patron of those who pray to find things lost or stolen, guide Fr. Z in the recovery of the lost item he is searching for. Assist him in this urgent need.

  7. Dad of Six says:

Prayers said…keep us updated when you find what you have lost.

I will also say a prayer to your Guardian Angel to help. He is so often forgotten.

  12. AnAmericanMother says:

St. Anthony, perfect imitator of Jesus, who received from God the special power of restoring lost things, grant that Fr. Z may find that which has been lost. Restore also his peace and tranquility of mind, and pray that all of us joining in prayer may never suffer the loss of our greatest treasure, eternal life with God. Amen.

If dear St. Anthony were not a Saint, he would have a full time job finding things for me. He is very helpful, but I’m sure it is discouraging work. :-)

  13. Mark Scott Abeln says:

    Prayers.

Have you checked your raincoat pocket? I lately found a missing video camera in mine.

  14. APX says:

Were you taking it with you to these museums? Hopefully it wasn’t left some place, and if it was, it had your name and contact info. Though, it could have been placed in some place very odd you wouldn’t think to look. I recently found my cell phone in my fridge and the onion I had partially chopped and placed in a ziploc container on my wire rack in my kitchen. St. Anthony helped me out with both of these as well. :)

I will pray again when I go to Mass this morning.

  15. Bea says:

Dear St. Anthony, of Lost and Found,
Help Fr. Z’s lost item come round.
    OF….HM….GB…
    Amen

Will also pray at noon Mass today. My “spot” is in front of the St. Anthony statue.

  16. Supertradmum says:

St. Anthony, answer this prayer, and look in the Church where you had confessions.

  17. Bastiat Fan says:

Will do, Father. And St. Anthony has NEVER let me down. Ask me sometime about my first introduction to him and the MIRACLE that occurred due to his praying for me. It’s a good story….

  18. Ygnacia says:

Father – here is a link to info about requesting prayer from Saint Anthony’s Franciscan Friars at the Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua, Italy. The Friars will take your intentions to Saint Anthony’s tomb and pray for you.

Prayers for you Father Z and that St Anthony helps you find your book.
