YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use the sharing buttons!  Thanks!

Registered or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand.  We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below. You have to be registered here to be able to post.

Finally, I still have a pressing personal petition.

I am questioning my recent decision to quit a long-held job for a position at another company. Please help me find peace in my decision or the direction to go where I need to. My prayers are with Father Z and everyone else who needs them.

  2. i recently stopped by here and requested ppl pray for the intercession of Bishop Fulton J Sheen.the little boy had an aggressive brain tumor and it was not going well.I now have an update and he and his family truly do need these prayers.
am copying and pasting the update with names removed:

The family is hoping desperately for a miracle. They are getting set up with hospice to come to the house once he’s released from the hospital. I believe in miracles,—– but they seem to be rare occurrences. But yes, we’ll continue to pray, of course. They do happen.

One thing to add to your prayers please is that if God does not grant a miracle, —— does not pass on Thanksgiving or Christmas or until after the season is over, for the sake of his parents and two younger brothers.

    God bless you. “

Please pray for my daughter-in-law Alicia and son Ryan. They are expecting their first baby the end of Feb. She asked for prayers today; for her high blood pressure and gestational diabetes screening. May they have a healthy baby that goes to term. Also, continued prayers for conversion and return to the faith of all family members.

Thank you and I offer my prayers for all intentions.

  4. PA mom says:

Please pray for my father who is having an angiogram tomorrow after having suffered a sudden bleeding in his brain.
He has not yet reconciled with the Church and I pray that he and my mother will before death.

  5. Mariana2 says:

Happy to pray for all intentions here, and Father Z’s.
Please pray for my best friend, who is dying of Creutzfeld-Jakob (human version of mad cow disease, beyond horrible).

  6. Gregg the Obscure says:

I am also glad to pray for all here. Please pray for my friend Bill. He’s a widower with two teenaged sons. His alcoholism has caused many problems. He’s in long term inpatient treatment for the second time in as many years. His younger son is having an especially difficult time.

  7. Supertradmum says:

Prayers for you, Father Z. Please continue to pray for me in exile. I only really want one thing at this time, British or EU citizenship. Just pray for that, please.

  8. Supertradmum says:

Prayers for all on this post, btw.

  9. MaterDei says:

Please pray for my Latin Mass community. Our priest has two parishes of his own and as extra, he does the Extraordinary Form weekly. Priests are stretched so thin these days! Please pray for our priest and the spiritual growth and increase of attendance at our Mass. Thank you!
My prayers are with Fr. Z and everyone.

  10. Suburbanbanshee says:

Please pray for Mrs. Darwin at Darwin Catholic; she’s on bedrest for the last few weeks of her current pregnancy.

Also, please pray for an acquaintance of mine.

    Praying for everyone!

  11. lmo1968 says:

Please pray for me that I get a job soon, and that my recent biopsy is normal. Thank you.

  12. Lex Orandi says:

A family member recently revealed that he is gay and although not currently in a relationship, he intends to be in one when he “finds the right person”. Please pray for him and his struggle. He wants to keep practicing the Faith but is having a very hard time and the area he lives in is not exactly an oasis for Catholics.

  13. lucindatcm says:

Please pray for me. It isn’t easy to be a Catholic in nursing school, and NCLEX questions are really horrible. I used to be concerned only whether I did the work. Now I am aware that the family finances do need me to do this if at all possible. So please pray that I manage to pass this course.

I pray for everybody on this list.

  14. Menagerie says:

Prayers for all intentions and Father Z. Please pray for G who has terminal liver cancer, and for his wife and family. I also ask prayers for my husband to go to confession.

  15. prayerisouronlyhope says:

Please pray for my son who is incarcerated and has just been diagnosed with cancer – he has a lump in his chest (he is 26).
You are all included in my Morning Offering.
    Thank you!

  16. I also have 2 other prayer requests. Here I would ask you to ask for the intercessory prayer of St Joseph. We are trying to get financing for a home.It will be our very first home. It’s smaller than the rental we live in;but there are only 2 of us and it’s all we need. There is still a guest room for company. It’s in great condition and has a terrific back yard.Yes, we have SOME yard here but most of it is cement and a driveway next door. It’s a commercial residence; the parking would be mostly for customers. It’s nice to have the extra parking space but not necessary.Plus we have a boxer. I think he’d like the yard better. The mortgage payment would save us financially. It’s less than the rent and that includes the taxes and insurance. It will take nothing short of miracle for us to be approved. I would be content to stay where we are if we have to. On the other hand it’s a terrific deal and less monthly payment.

The other prayer request is for our aide. She is searching for her sister. They were separated at a very young age.I am hoping they can be reunited for Christmas this year. Her website is here with her story->Search4Sister-Susan

  17. Menagerie requested “I also ask prayers for my husband to go to confession.” got mine for sure!

  18. Pa asked,”He has not yet reconciled with the Church and I pray that he and my mother will before death.” ditto. All my rosaries.

  19. pmullane says:

Prayers for all my brothers and sisters above, I admire your ability to hold out against the darkness.

Can I ask for prayers for my family, my son was ill last week and seems to be on the mend, but he is only a baby and my heart breaks when he is in pain. Can I also ask for prayers for my wife, she has had to deal with so much stress this last while and is now ill herself, not seriously (I hope) all whilst carrying our second child.

Please pray that we can get back on an even kiel as a family, and bare there burdens accordingly. Please ask God to give me the strength to be there for them all.

  20. Darren says:

    Two requests:

    1. Please pray that I get a new job soon. I have been unemployed for a significant length of time – and now is a very slow period (A lot of vacation time taken around Christmas means companies typically halt hiring until the new year…a time of year the job seeker can become discouraged…a time of year which instead should be filled with prayer, penance and ultimate joy).

    2. I have initiated contact with an appropriate priest in my diocese to begin the work of bringing the TLM to my area. Please pray that things progress in the right direction and that we will find a stable group and a home. Also include that a priest of the FSSP has offered to come and give a conference on the mass to help us in our effort (and this will also help us gather the stable group in the area who may be scattered among many parishes). Pray that we will find a place to host him.

  21. RCOkie says:

A young man from our parish died in a car accident today. He was only 24. Please pray for the repose of his soul and for his parents and brother.

  22. macmz says:

Please pray for my wife. She is 29 yrs old and has been struggling with severe depression for the last 10 years. With help of therapy and medication she managed to get through medical school, become a physician, and give birth to our beautiful baby girl. Unfortunately, her mental health is beginning to deteriorate again. Please pray for her mental and spiritual health. Thank you all!

  23. Paulo says:

Thank you all who prayed for my father, who had been admitted to into ICU in septic shock. Unfortunately, he was not able to recover, and passed away November 28th, one day short of his 73rd birthday. He had not been reconciled with the Church; at the time of his death, I was praying the Divine Mercy chaplet. May Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Also, my mother-in-law (when it rains, it pours) received bad news from a recent biopsy, having being diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. Surgery is scheduled to January 9th.

I’ll be praying to all the intentions here, and for father Z.

  24. PA mom says:

Thank you boxer paws and others for your prayers. There is more work to be done, but my dad made it through the first step.
    Praying for all those here.
