Wacko New York City Jesuits – UPDATED – Glen Beck comments

UPDATE 23 September 2020

When Glen Beck starts warning us, how far things have gone bad?

New York Jesuits.

I am reminded of the lines from Sonnet 94 by Shakespeare:

For sweetest things turn sourest by their deeds;
Lilies that fester smell far worse than weeds.

Corruptio optimi pessima.

Jesuit utters ideological rubbish during Mass:

This is what he said:

“I now invite you to stand, and in joining us in the prayer for racial justice, by responding ‘yes’ to each of the following statements,” Pastor Boller told the congregation.

The rest of the prayer went as follows:

Do you support racial justice, equity, and compassion in human relations? Yes.

Do you affirm that white privilege is unfair and harmful to those who have it and to those who do not? Yes.

Do you affirm that white privilege and the culture of white supremacy must be dismantled where it is present? Yes.

Do you support racial equity justice and liberation for every person? Yes.

Do you affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person? Yes.

Therefore, from this day forward, will you strive to understand more deeply the injustice and suffering white privilege and white supremacy cause? Yes.

Will you commit to help transform our Church culture to one that is actively engaged in seeking racial justice and equity for all, for everyone? Yes.

Will you make a greater effort to treat all people with the same respect you expect to receive? Yes.

Will you commit to developing the courage to live your beliefs and values of racial justice and equality? Yes.

Will you strive to eliminate racial prejudice from your thoughts and actions so that you can better promote the racial justice efforts of our Church? Yes.

Will you renew and honor this pledge daily knowing that our Church and our community, our nation, and our world will be better places because of our efforts? Yes.

This is what was at St. Francis Xavier awhile ago. I posted on it HERE.

White people, including Catholics, have, many of them, entirely lost their minds and sense of discernment. This is a revolution, and white people are making it easy. South Africa’s current treatment of Afrikkaner farmers might be a lesson white Americans could learn from, but I doubt.
Fr. Z. I am not the first to note a demonic element to all that we are seeing. Please allow something personal. My grown child, typically loving and respectful, has distanced himself from me and from my husband in the last year. In the last 2 weeks my child has hung up on me two times, something that has never occurred before. It was a response to my refusal to discuss political matters, both times. There is something terribly, terribly wrong in our world.
Something dark this way has ARRIVED. Pope Francis opened the door, in my humble opinion, with the Pachamama debacle, everything changed after that, Covid arrived soon after. This Jesuit is just Screwtape’s junior devil. This isn’t Catholicism, it’s Marxism, it should be a joke to hear a pledge like this, but listen to all the responses. Those are 100% gaslit Catholic Americans.

Beautiful church with wacky clergy? Sounds like a great candidate for takeover by the FSSP or ICKSP.

  3. He is sick! What an abomination in the house of God. It is apparent that he thinks God is okay with this? Good grief!

  4. templariidvm says:

Will you commit to say the Black and do the Red and cease any and all innovations, no matter how trendy, to the holy Mass?

  5. templariidvm says:

Was the disco Mass part of a Mel Brooks movie? I was waiting for the dancing nuns to come out like the Rockettes. Once you have gone down the disco dance moves during Mass, just about anything is fair game. I am disappointed in both the priest, parish council and bishop that this is seen as ok or even fun for Mass. Obviously, their catechesis was light on the meaning, the reverence and worship that are entailed in Mass.

  6. Antonin says:

    Father

Please be fair – focussing on the fringes ? To use the catch phrase of the “other side” C’mon man!

[It’s not the Jesuit fringe. The fringe, now, are good and faithful – TRUE Jesuits.]

    Are Jesuits Catholic?

  8. Atra Dicenda, Rubra Agenda says:

The mockery of the renewal of Baptismal Promises should upset Novus Ordo goers and TLMers alike.

  10. Grant M says:

Transforming church culture to combat white privilege? Let’s start with the Asperges. Do you know that Latin Massers begin their worship by singing “Super nivem dealbabor” ? How is that acceptable in 2020?

    (Irony).

  11. JonPatrick says:

This concept of white privilege, a kind of Original Sin that only happens in white people and for which there seems to be no way to be absolved from it, unlike true original sin, is so wrong headed. Racism which comes from our fear of what is different and our pride by which we raise ourselves up by putting others down, is present to some degree in people of all races creeds and colors and is a matter of personal responsibility to eradicate. We see it all over the world whether it is African tribes such as the Hutus and Tutsis a few years ago or as we currently see in China with the genocide against the Uighurs and the Tibetans. Also an object lesson that a totalitarian Socialist government is no guarantee against racism, something lost on those on the Left today.

  12. Marine Mom says:

Prayer and reparation for all priests
O Almighty, Eternal God, look upon the Face of Your Son and for love of Him, who is the Eternal High Priest, have pity on your priests. Remember, O most compassionate God, that they are but weak and frail human beings. Stir up in them the grace of their vocation which is in them by the imposition of the bishop’s hands. Keep them close to You, lest the enemy prevail against them, so that they may never do anything in the slightest degree unworthy of their sublime vocation.
O Jesus, I pray for your faithful and fervent priests; for your unfaithful and tepid priests; for Your priests laboring at home or abroad in distant mission fields; for Your tempted priests; for the lonely and desolate priests; for Your young priests; for Your dying priests; for the souls of Your priest in purgatory. But above all, I commend to You the priests dearest to me, the priest who baptized me, the priest who have absolved me from my sins, the priest at whose Masses I have assisted and who have offered me Your Body and Blood in Holy Communion, the priests who have taught and instructed me or helped and encouraged me, and the priests to whom I am indebted in any other way.
O Jesus, keep them all close to Your Heart, and bless them abundantly in time and in eternity. Amen

  13. adriennep says:

And unfortunately people like Michelle Malkin use this as an excuse to remain separated from the one true Church.

  14. NBW says:

This “priest” should be defrocked. He is leading his flock straight into Hell. It’s because of heretic priests like him that so many people are misinformed on Church teaching and why so many have left the Catholic Church. I agree with Kathleen10, something dark has truly arrived. Pope Francis has ushered in something evil whether intentionally or by mind boggling ignorance.

  15. ChesterFrank says:

Do you affirm that white privilege is unfair and harmful to those who have it and to those who do not? Isn’t this a RACIST STATEMENT!!??!!??

  16. JerseyCatholic says:

Where is Cardinal Dolan??? This is a scandal.

  17. tho says:

Whoever might have a spare straight jacket should Fed Ex it to Fr. Kenneth Boller.

  18. GregB says:

It’s interesting how judgmental the SJW advocates are. How quick they are to condemn people without presenting one shred of evidence or proof to back up their claims. Of course they almost never allow themselves to be judged and any way, shape, or form. Everything is a one way street, their way or the highway. They behave just like the totalitarians that they claim to be opposed to.
    *
The left has an ideological fixation with equality. The only place where their kind of equality can be found is in the graveyard, where everyone is totally, and equally, dead. Death as the great equalizer. Only a dead, lifeless universe could produce the kind of equality that the left craves. That is one reason why the left is really a death cult, with the body count to prove it. Things have gotten to the point to where they may be entering into their Manson family “Helter Skelter,” Jonestown Guyana kool-aid, and Hale-Bopp “Heaven’s Gate” suicide cult phase. They are just about as irrational as these cults. The recent looting and rioting are disturbing precursors.

  19. And the sheople follow.

  24. Kent Wendler says:

I would consider the demands of those shouting “white privilege” *after* they apologize to the thalidomide victims for having arms.

  25. tgarcia2 says:

“ White people, including Catholics, have, many of them, entirely lost their minds and sense of discernment. This is a revolution, and white people are making it easy. South Africa’s current treatment of Afrikkaner farmers might be a lesson white Americans could learn from, but I doubt.”
One could argue their treatment unfortunately is a result of “getting back” for apartheid. Anyway, interesting you would bring this up only “white people” have lost their minds and a sense of discernment. I would argue a majority of Americans have, regardless of skin pigmentation

  26. WVC says:

@tgarcia2 – No, pretty sure the problem is mostly with White folks. You don’t see terms like Hispanic Fragility or Asian Privilege being thrown around. Not sure what exactly is at the heart of it (I have plenty of guesses), but there is a large portion of White people that really hate their own race, blame their race for all the evils of the world, and want to expunge their guilt by punishing the other half of their race who thinks there’s nothing wrong with being White.

  27. NOCatholic says:

For those unfamiliar with Glenn Beck, he is a Mormon. When a practicing Mormon, whose beliefs are waaay “out there,” lectures Catholics, you know things are really bad.

The irony, and tragedy, is that the Catholic Church has the resources really to help African-Americans within church teaching, calling everyone, of whatever race, to repentance, conversion of heart, and reconciliation with each other. This involves turning from sin — not only hatred and lack of charity, but also sexual sins that result in the single-parent homes that have so devastated the African-American community.

But let’s not upset anyone by pointing out sexual sin. Let’s just be trendy and political.

  28. Chaswjd says:

On of the previous post urges that the priest who presided over the matter be defrocked. That smacks too much of the cancel culture we should be combatting. My hope would be that his superior would call him into the superior’s office and the two could have a chat about the church’s actual teaching on racism versus the neo-Marxism of critical race theory. My hope would be that, suitable chastened and bound by his vow of obedience, Father would then preach the actual Gospel and use suitable general intercessions in the future. If not, perhaps Father could be repurposed, not at a swank parish in New York, but perhaps at a mission parish in Africa or India where he could really help those in need.

  29. Fallibilissimo says:

Do you affirm that divorce, the sexual revolution and the breakup of family culture have wrecked spiritual and physical havoc on mankind, especially the most vulnerable among us?

  30. Kukla65th says:

Worth noting that Beck was once Catholic.

  31. Semper Gumby says:

Powerful letter written by that Catholic man to Beck. That particular church, according to the man’s letter, provides resources on defunding the police and the Marxist, family-hating BLM. That is a surrender to the Prince of this world.

The letter writer does not sound like an “extremist” or a “Protestant”- rather a concerned and alarmed faithful Catholic.

  32. Frankly, Beck is still Catholic.
