    Dear Father Z,
Just arrived in Rome today and went to Santa Cecilia in Trastevere where a Benedictine nun was playing the organ in an empty church. Very few tourists here, which is great. I went to Emma Pizzeria very close to Roscioli – highly recommend Emma! Innovative pizzas.

Hotel and apartment rentals are about 30% cheaper than usual and there are still a lot of vacancies.

Very surprised Rome Ciampino airport not checking any vaccine cards or PCR tests (for intra-EU flights).

  2. Ah Santa Cecilia… my old stomping ground. I learned “Italian” in those streets.

I’m just glad they put those little yellow thingies to the sides of the archway!

    Then again….it IS Rome.

When in Rome do as the Romans do….except when it comes to driving….then definitely DO NOT DO as the Romans do….and in hand gestures…lol…apparently they are not intended to be reciprocated?

I would love to know about those things.

Didn’t Vinny Trastevere play QB for the Miami Hurricanes? I was thinking maybe they named the town after him.

    Good one, Tex.
