Oh, hey, Father, I hope you caught the funeral Mass for the Servant of God Father Kapaun yesterday.

Here’s the Wichita diocese’s livestream, if anyone missed it. After Mass proper, at 1:58:00, they read a long statement by Col. Mike Dow, one of the surviving POWs, about life in the camp, Kapaun’s death and why it counts as martyrdom in odium fidei, and what happened to Kapaun’s body. Timestamps are available in the comments.

I don’t remember seeing this or having it mentioned before… so…

On the frkapaun.org website, they’ve got links to four tv series on YouTube that the Kapaun’s Men organization did, on subjects like Virtue and Stewardship, along with study and discussion guides. Just keep scrolling down.

So if you have a men’s organization, or you want to start something like that, it might be helpful.

Are those palls? Beautiful if so!

I think I recall that this is Fr Z’s own photo and that he bought the last B16 pall. I think I remember him using it.

BEAUTIFUL PALLS. “Barbiconi” in Rome, next to the Hotel Minerva. You can get the pall together with the matching altar linens…pall, purificator corporal. Great gifts. They also have pall sets for the Order of The Holy Sepulcher and the Order of Malta. The famous papal tailor – Gammarelli is just up the street.
