In my adoptive neighborhood in Rome, at my adoptive parish, there was a young man named Gaetano Tinnirello. He lived rough, in the streets, and often was at the doors of my adoptive parish Ss. Trinità dei Pellegrini, the Vetus Ordo parish in Rome, to beg alms of those who came and went.
Gaetano died in the hospital yesterday of a pulmonary infection.
One of the FSSP priests went to the hospital to visit and to give him Last Rites.
Tomorrow at 1500h (Roma – CET) they are celebrating a Solemn Requiem Mass for Gaetano.
The parish has assumed all the expenses for the return of his body to his home province Reggio Emilia so that be can be buried by his family. The expenses will be from Euro 2000-3000.
When Ss. Trinità needed funds to install a baptismal font, you were there.
That was for the beginning of Christian lives.
Will you help at the end of a Christian life, too?
Make a donation.
It’s November, friends. Pray for Gaetano and please make a donation to this good cause. Help the Roman parish.
It is a corporal work of mercy to bury the dead.
Done.
Pingback: Opportunity! A work of mercy for a poor man, recently deceased, at the “traditional” parish in Rome – ACTION ITEM – Via Nova Media
Done, and thank you for the opportunity to support this effort.
Done.
And his name was entered for Rorate’s Purgatorial Society.
St. Joseph, Foster Father of Jesus Christ and True Spouse of Mary, pray for us and for the suffering and dying of this day, this week, this month, and this year. Amen.
Done and offered a Mass for him as well.
Thank you for the opportunity, Father Z.
Done…
Done. May he be brought swiftly to eternal glory, after so much suffering here.
Done.
Done and thank you for the opportunity Padre!
Done. May he rest in Peace. He would have been included in my Litany of the Holy Souls the day he died. I always find it comforting when I hear of someone’s death to think that I have already prayed for them.
Dear Fr. Z.
Done.
Thank You for this opportunity to support your adoptive Parish and, of course, to assist in Prayer and donation to Gaetano Tinniello (R.I.P.).
“Truly, I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me”.
Done.
May he rest in peace!
