I remember watching and being moved by that Apollo 8 mission Christmas Eve broadcast on TV at my parent’s house, home from college on my Christmas break, where one of the astronauts read from the book of Genesis. The first flight to ever leave Earth’s orbit and circle the moon, quite a milestone.
