In Chess news…. yesterday the Pro Chess League results: The Gotham Knight obliterated the Tigers of Shanghai on Thursday and MGD1 beat the Unicorns (as is appropriate). The Arch Bishops crushed the Berlin Bears in which a St Louis 4th board 14 year old FM Alice Lee defeated the enemy board 1 in an upset.

    Hi! I wanted to mention something I just figured out… The guy who got appointed Archbishop of Toronto a few weeks back, is the same guy who studied at UD and helped out at my old parish!

    He was a really good priest, very devout, offered Mass well, and gave good homilies. (One of them I still remember, about the woman at the well. And it’s been like 20 years, so there you go.) Also very prudent, and spoke lots of languages.

    So hopefully everything goes very well for Toronto!

    (It cracks me up, because our local media always covers anything connected to Dayton, and they haven’t connected the dots on this at all. I have to call them up.)
