What will the Synod (“walking together”) on Synodality (“walking together-ity”) be like?
One clue is to look at the list of the participants.
First, however, I note this, from Jesuit-run Amerika Magazine:

One of my interlocutors this morning asked our chat group:
How are this many individuals going to work effectively in two weeks on a document that runs to 50 pages? Unless the thing is rigged?

You might not be as familiar with names from other countries. However, the list includes a broad range of notorious lay communists from Italy.

I am amused by the participants of the Synod (“walking together”) of Bishops who are listed under:

These are the non-bishops who are the “witnesses” of the synodal (“walking together”) process.
Remember the other day I posted something HERE about how those bishops who choose not to go along with everything that the Synod (“walking together”) comes up with will owe “restitution” to those who participated in the “process”? Their job is the “confirm” the “community discernment process”. You should review that. Can one imagine that perhaps some strong arm tactics might be employed against what is obviously a minority to go along quietly with the hand they are dealt knowing full-well that the deck was stacked a long time ago?
Here’s the “deal”.
This is going to be something else.
BUT… we’ve been told that it is going to be something else. After all, Francis quoting Congar said HERE in an opening address at the Synod (“walking together”) in 2022:
“We must not make another Church, we must make a different Church”
That wasn’t just a rhetorical flourish. I think we should take him at his world, Jesuit background notwithstanding.
I assume that more and more we will be reading about how the “Spirit” is going to be at work.
Dear readers, what I can offer is the suggestion that you make sure you are living your vocation well, you are staying in the state of grace and using the sacraments well. Especially, regularly examine your conscience and GO TO CONFESSION. Stick to our solid, tried and true traditional practices of devotion and sacred worship. We all shall weather this storm. There will be those who are swept over the side. As Benedict XVI said, the “boat” is taking on water. But the boat shall remain.
None of this should come as a surprise. Sure, it shocks, but it really doesn’t, does it?
Again, look for possible holes in the way you are living your state in life. Redouble your devotions and your will to do penance in reparation.

Looks like the dark one is calling in its markers. This one, (synod) is the crossing of the red line in the sand. The crossing of the Rubicon. The point of no return. The beginning of the end.
But alas, Christ is King and will defend His church. Behind the scenes His wraith will make the money changers in the temple response look tame.
The readership familiar with the high-profile cinematic releases by Disney-owned Lucasfilm of recent years will understand this comment.

Thank you for the encouraging words near the end of the post to persist in what is time tested, Father. It’s tough these days not to give into the temptation to worry that one day I will find myself outside the church simply because I continue to follow the beliefs that she perennially taught. I know this is a temptation to be resisted with all my might, but it is persistent.
In those times, I find that reading an older theological work or the writings of a Doctor of the Church is like a cooling balm. Praying for you!

I think the synod is more like the cat throwing up on the carpet. Annoying, gross, but we’ll clean it up when we have time.
Heed Father Z’s warning and remain in a state of grace and redouble your devotions and penance and especially pray for lost souls. The Warning that our Holy Mother prophesied at Garabandal is supposed to happen after an important Synod in the church, with the WWIII rhetoric picking up, the SOS happening in October. We know the last battles of this age will be over the family, seems to me things are lining up perfectly…
How gay of them.
Kevin Dunn of ewtn shortly before he kicked his daughter out of his family for being Traditional wrote his family, “that this Pope will change the Church! Finally a Church that is not for the holier than thous! The Party Pope has arrived”. It seems the gays in the Church, sensed years ago that they finally have their man.
I know this about Kevin Dunn, because the daughter he kicked out, is my wife.
Those who hate the Church finally have their “party Pope”.
Pray and as Father Z has said, redouble your efforts.
We are all about to be kicked out of the Church in a figurative sense, just like my wife by the EWTN producers.

Sounds like Kevin Dunn is in touch with his inner Cain. The church of Cain that has no room, nor welcome, for Abel.
I have been a Conspiracy Theorist long enough to see the majority of the conspiracies are true. I have no doubt the “documents” , have already been written. The discussions will confirm it with no dessent.
