REMINDER : Visit of the Relics of Saint Jude the Apostle to these USA from September 2023 to May 2024

UPDATE 4 Dec:

From a reader:

I visited the St. Jude relic at Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie NY. When Father said this arm hugged Jesus, I was overwhelmed!  I brought my grandson “Jude”.  Truly, an unforgettable experience.  It is hard to express my experience in words.

Right now the “tour” is in NY State and New Jersey area, then Pennsylvania.

My friend Fr. Carlos Martins has been entrusted with the mission of bringing a major relic of the Apostle St. Jude aka Thaddaeus, to these USA for a “tour” of many American cities.

St. Jude is sometimes called “Patron Saint of the Impossible Cause”. More HERE.

The tour starts in Chicago at St. John Cantius. What an honor. I suspect that hordes will visit these relics during the tour. The schedule will grow a great deal, I think.

I’m glad he’s coming to Harrisburg.

My wife never let’s me forget that we were married what will be 34 years ago on his upcoming feast day, October 28th.

Which also happens to be the birthday of someone hereabouts of note.

    “Hopeless causes” indeed, cough, cough.

  3. Anneliese says:

You know the Dominicans also have a relic of St Jude in Chicago? It traveled to St Louis ten years ago. If you live in Chicago you can go see it.

  4. Teresa O says:

I was so fortunate to be able to go when it was at a parish near me! It was quite incredible. There had to be hundreds, if not thousands, there. I was able to make my rosary a third-class relic, and tell Fr. Martins thank you for all he does.

  5. Not says:

Hello Jon, Wife and I were also married on St . Judes feast day. Our whole family went down to Sandwich Mass. to venerate St. Judes Relic. Beautiful church and a real kicker of a sermon. The church was packed all day until 7:00 pm.
We too say we are hopless cases. Our regular church just salvaged a beautiful bigger than life St. Jude statue. It is in the vestabule with many candles.

  6. Dad of Six says:

Saw it in Lapeer, Michigan, and I also have a third class relic with my Rosary.

Saw it in Royal Oak, Michigan and I have third class relics with my Rosary and my wedding band.

My family got to venerate the relic in Bethlehem, PA. We all touched our scapulars to the relic. It was like a mini-pilgrimage. So happy for the opportunity.

  9. Kathleen10 says:

We saw him in RI. If anyone has a chance to go, they should go. Relics are always a special treat, and it seems like if you are called to go, you feel you have a relationship with that saint because you did go. Now you know them and they know you. But standing in front of the relic of St. Jude, knowing your eyes are looking at his relic, it is something special.

  10. Sevens Dad says:

Harrisburg PA is drivable for me also. Great to hear!

Father, if one already has a third-class relic with a sacramental, can that same sacramental be third-class a relic for multiple saints? I hope this question makes sense.

Hope it will stop at Our Lady of Champion in Wisconsin.
