CHARTRES PILGRIMAGE: Video stream of closing Mass on Pentecost Monday 2024

The Great Roman™ sent a shot…

I tuned into the live stream of the Mass and saw that one of the priests of the FSSP parish (my adoptive parish) in Rome is the deacon of the Mass.

Here is the video… still live as I write:

This year was the largest ever, with 18,000 registered. While this is terrific, I think it’s reached the max. logistically, as there were some problems e.g. some of the foreign chapters arrived at the campsite on Saturday after 9 p.m. – having left St. Sulpice over 12 hours before that. There were inevitably long delays in getting everyone en route on the Sunday. That said, the organisation by Notre Dame de Chrétienté is superb. There were three U.S. chapters this year and our three chapters from
Ireland were beside them for much of the time. And the rain kept away for all of Sunday, only reappearing during the final Mass on Monday, which gave good walking conditions for those days.
