  1. Ave Maria says:

If there was a goal to kill the faith, holy priests would certainly not be wanted! Nor contemplative nuns nor holy Orders or Institutes. Or any cleric along the lines of a St. John the Baptist.

  2. APX says:

Is this their attempt at trying to “fix” the priest shortages?

  3. Archlaic says:

Maybe we need a disinformation campaign… pepper the CDW – or whatever they call themselves these days – with missives regarding rumors of clandestine (non-existent) TLMs at the most outré or unlikely parishes in one’s diocese… keep Roche’s minions, the nuncios, chancery apparatchiks, etc. chasing shadows! It would certainly be a better use of their time! Note that for added verisimilitude all letters should be signed by Susan from the Parish Council ;-)

  4. Mother Seton says:

    Mater Dei, ora pro nobis.

We are very close to one seminarian at Gricigliano, and to his family, and attended ordinations of minor orders last year. Our son prays to enter in a few years. I had convinced myself last week that the coming restrictions would abolish the remaining diocesan masses after all attendees had learned to love the NO, but leave the former Ecclesia Dei communities alone. Praying. We found ourselves traveling over the weekend and couldn’t attend our ICK oratory. Thanks to “reverent Mass finder,” we did manage to find a lovely NO, and I’m thankful not to have had to navigate Eucharistic ministers, or being denied communion on the tongue, etc, but it still … Isn’t the same. It wasn’t a clown Mass, to be sure, but I kept inserting the rest of the prayers. The ravaged Confiteor seemed as empty as the sign of peace.

Oh, Our Lady Undoer of Knots, pray for us!

  5. grateful says:

We unite our sufferings with Jesus on the Cross.

I suppose that they’ll flog the Hellespont next.

  7. Fr. Reader says:

He also met the “moderatore generale” of the Prelature.

  8. Elizabeth R says:

The ICKSP released an encouraging statement on their audience.

  9. Dad of Six says:

What strikes me about all of this latest news about the traditional litany is how petty it is. Just so petty.

  10. mburduck says:

Was there a post here recently that stated the Catechism tells us that a pope can’t ban TLM. There may also have been a reference to canon law as well. Does anyone here recall this post? Or am I remembering incorrectly?
