Yesterday there was a procession at St. Paul’s outside the walls with the chain that held St. Paul in his captivity.
The reliquary was borne by members of the Archconfraternity of the Most Holy Trinity of the Pilgrims and Convalescents, which St. Philip Neri founded at The Parish™. They were specifically requested to participate. Their reputation grows.

I’ll have to move nimbly with this process and I really have no idea what I am doing. I’ve gotten some good advice, however. The last piece of hard news was that the inspector said the roof needs to be replaced on my mom’s house. Please keep me in your prayers and please say a prayer for my late mother as well, 11th hour convert, mother of a priest.

Look into the house insurance paying for the roof. I’ve known it to have happened.

I was thinking of locks & keys* yesterday. Depending on how many people have access and how many you need/want to have access, you might want to figure out whether or not to change locks and/or whether to distribute keys or have a lockbox.

* because of remembering Mom’s classic trunk that I have in storage. The energetic and mostly thoughtful young man from the moving/junking company who was passing stuff down from the attic when we were emptying Mom’s house closed the latch to make sure the lid didn’t swing open at a crucial moment. Mostly thoughtful, as I said, even 99&44/100% thoughtful – but didn’t check first if I had a key for it.
