From a priest…
I’m sure that you have seen this already, but the archbishop of Detroit was recently at the opening of a mosque in Dearborn, MI.
“There is no place where I feel more respect, fraternity, and kindness,” Archbishop Weisenburger said at the mosque’s opening ceremony on June 12, according to The Arab American News. “From the moment I entered this beautiful site, I felt a profound divine presence.”
What are the names of the parishes where he snuffed out the people who want to attend the TLM?
…
…
Maybe we could ask Ralph Martin, Eduardo Echeverria, and Edward Peters, all formerly of Sacred Heart Major Seminary.

How long, O Lord?
Two Points:
1. If that is the archbishop’s view that that mosque is better than the respect, fraternity, and kindness that he has in HIS archdiocese, that really is on him. Something something something Matt 12:36-37.
2. That is not a divine presence that he is feeling. Yes, a presence, but neither divine nor angelic. The archbishop needs to work on his discernment of spirits.
The archbishop was most likely feeling the preternatural. Remember that the gods of the pagans are demons. (so are aliens)
Look, we have to move forward, so don’t worry about it.
Wasn’t there a time when a cleric would not set foot in a house of “worship” of another religion except to exorcise it?
So he’ll go to a mosque and compliment them, but he either didn’t offer confirmations for the ICKSP or didn’t allow them to let confirmandi from neighboring dioceses come to them.
But the SSPX is the problem?
Maybe he’s a secret convert? Either way, disgusting.
Here in the northern fastnest where in days gone by blessed Cuthbert used to tarry on his way to visit blessed Herbert in his hermit isle on Derwent Water….. the Railway Inn… as was, built at the western end of the 3rd oldest rail “road” in the world. Is now by the blessing of Allah being converted in to a mosque.
The birth rate ( amongst the so called chistians) has collapsed in these parts…. if blessed Cuthbert were to tarry around here tomorrow….. he’d think he was on the Road to Mandaly
Pope Leo…. send the blessed Wiesenberger to Hadrians Wall to confirm our Muslim neighbours in our apostasy…. while theres sill a handful of us left to aposticise
If anyone would like to learn more about the Muslim religion, Raymond Ibrahim is a historian who does not mince words (see him on Youtube). He does an excellent job in his book, “Defenders of the West,” highlighting the heroic sacrifices of many Christian men during the era of the Crusades, especially St. Louis and Richard the Lionheart.
What do you expect from a Bergoglio clone who harbored illegal alien criminals in Tucson hotels using your federal tax dollars laundered through Catholic Charities? If a scofflaw does not respect the immigration laws of our land do you really think he will be a staunch defender of orthodoxy and the magisterium? Just asking.
Extra ecclesiam nulla salis!
“There is no place where I feel more respect, fraternity, and kindness…”
Well, of course he does! He hasn’t tried to destroy their way of worship.
Really sad. Is anyone praying for him? He desperately needs prayers.
Maybe he’s feeling the heat – from actual Catholics – because of his cruel agenda in Detroit, so he decided to take refuge in a mosque. Good luck with that, Your Excellency.
I have had my misgivings about the VC2 statements about Muslims and Christians praying to the same God for a long time now (does that make me a schismatic?). Many people I know think the same. The fruits of Islam are the same everywhere and they aren’t good. When will the clergy finally be cured of this wishful thinking, or should I say error?
Dear EAW,
I posted a long comment on April 28, 2026 in the post:
“ASK FATHER: Is religious liberty in “Dignitatis humanae” the same as before the Vatican II? Of SSPX relevance. Wherein Fr. Z also makes an impassioned plea to Leo.”
explaining the distinction between adoration and worship in regards to Catholics and Moslems. Moslems pray to the same God, since their religion is an amalgamation of quasi-Judaism and Arianism, both of which reference the correct God, however, they do not worship the same God, in the sense that their worship is not based on true revelation. Vatican II uses adore, which is, technically, correct, but many people have substituted worship = adoration, which is not correct and is the basis for many an argument.
The Chicken
@EAW & Chicken
Regardless – having misgivings about a Vatican document praising either the adoration or worship of Muslims is quite appropriate.
Does this Useful Idiot tm, not realize the mahamadans kill priests first? Guess he has a martyr complex
Meanwhile I’m watching a video on YouTube posted two days ago by a Detroit news station about the Archdiocese’s restructuring plan because of its lack of priests and lack of money.
