Interesting. There’s a variance on the date of the March 2006 Consistory. Was it the 22nd or the 23rd? If there can’t be agreement on dates, it’s no wonder that tranlsations are skewed.

Sorry, although I’ve got a great sense of humour, this video is in poor taste– especially in light of the beauty of Benedict’s text and his obvious desire for both a deeper liturgical life for the Church and for UNITY.
How I loved it! I have viewed it already three times! Its progress reminds me of the emotional progress of Mahler’s 2nd Symphony and Bruckner’s 9th (with his Te Deum for the last movement)
Now let’s brace ourselves for the inevitable flood of vituperation, defamation, distortion, and otherwise piercing screams of agony from out opponents – cry ranging from “Nazi†to “heresy†– and let’s keep Fr Z’s Rule #2 in mind. And let’s add a 6th rule: Answer informed and with fraternal correction. I need to observe this rule more myself.
