“This blog is rather like a fusion of the Baroque ‘salon’ with its well-tuned harpsichord around which polite society gathered for entertainment and edification and, on the other hand, a Wild West “saloon” with its out-of-tune piano and swinging doors, where everyone has a gun and something to say. Nevertheless, we try to point our discussions back to what it is to be Catholic in this increasingly difficult age, to love God, and how to get to heaven.” - Fr. Z

God bless!
That’s great! Apparently it has been up since 1/1/12. Fr. Kenneth Baker, S.J., former editor/publisher of the HPR, is the man responsible for the Twin Cities having one of the very few [literally] Catholic broadcast television stations in the country: Channel 16-1,-2, -3 and -4 The station has been here has been here for 20 years as channels 53 and 19. It is not very well known, but its tower is on top of the IDS tower and for a low power station it can be received from many miles away (unless you have something large between you and the IDS.
No cable is needed for EWTN programming, local programming and Channel 16-3 and the digital programs of channels 2, 4, 5, 9, 11,l 23, 29 and other low power stations. You might need an antenna to get good reception.
Check out Channel 16 and support them financially!
