A friend of mine from my many years in Rome, Greg Di Pippo (very learnéd fellow), is going to be giving a talk in Boston, at the Cathedral, on the Extraordinary Form.
There will be Holy Mass in the Extraordinary Form also, in the lower church.
Theme: “The Culture of the Traditional Liturgy”
Friday 7 September
7:30 pm Mass
Talk immediately after.
Cathedral of the Holy Cross: 75 Union Park Street
The entrance to the lower church is on the left side as you face the building from the front.
This event is entirely open to the public.
Sponsored by the newly-founded Juventutem Boston.
Just started grad school at BC. This is on my calendar now.
Just took the night off of work for this, thanks for posting it.
I met Gregory Di Pippo the summer I was in Rome doing Fr. Reggie Foster’s Latin program, when the FSSP were still saying the traditional Mass at San Gregorio dei Muratori, near the Ponte Umberto. I second Fr. Z’s recommendation to go hear him if you can.
I hope this talk will become available to all by DVD or if not possible at least in a CD
It would be a great tool for inspiring priests to join the TLM following.
Do check out Juventutem Boston’s webpage, facebook profile, facebook page, and this event’s fb event page.
Young adults in metropolitan NYC are also starting to seek affiliation with the Fœderatio Internationalis Juventutem – contact Juventutem Michigan (our polyglot page) if you would like your contact information passed on to them. Also get in touch with JM if you would like to be part of a major young adult Missa Cantata in DC during March for Life weekend 2013.
We need a report on the talk!
