I wonder what church he is standing in. Hope it’s scheduled for a Morlino-style restoration.

It occurred to me the other day that the media types and their fellow travelers have nursed a hatred for Joseph Ratzinger for at least 30 years, and they must have been gnawing their own legs off during his pontificate because they couldn’t quite tar him as the total villain they wanted to while he was Pope. Since Benedict has given them this interim between his papacy and his death (de mortuis nil nisi bonum), this is the perfect chance for them to run Benedict down by praising Francis to the skies as a liberator and a living saint over everything they can point to as a contrast.

His Excellency is in the chapel of the Bp O’Connor Center, the “chancery” as it were. I doubt there will be any renovations because the plan is to soon move the diocesan offices and re-purpose the building. The chapel did get a nice, new High Altar a couple years ago though. Unfortunately that table altar is still there for versus populum, but it is easily removed when we have a TLM there.

The faithful of the Diocese of Madison — and, via YouTube, of the whole world — are blessed in the holy, gentle, and firm apostolate of Bishop Morlino. Deo gratias!

HE Bishop Morlino gave an interview published in today’s “Wisconsin State Journal” upon reaching the one year anniversary of Pope Francis’ reign. The bishop’s theme: The mass media is misinterpreting what the Pope is saying. He said the media is trying to create a “spirit of Pope Francis” like they did with the so called “spirit of Vatican II” misinterpretation of the documents of V2. God bless Bp. Morlino.
