I feel like the Swiss Guard could handle them.

  2. Father K says:

Sure -halberds are sooo effective against bombs

  3. majuscule says:

For quite some time I have dedicated one decade of one of my daily rosaries to the conversion of Muslims and the defeat of the caliphate.

Pope St. Pius V pray for us.
St. John Damascene pray for us.
St Lawrence of Brindisi a pray for us.
St James the apostle pray for us.

I am in Malta as a guest of some friends here. It is interesting that some Maltese do think Rome is the next target, as these people are not asleep, understanding from their own history, that what the followers of Islam want is the Caliphate. The Maltese also understand that the Islamic followers claim all lands as theirs which onced belonged to them, like Spain and Malta.

But, to hit Rome is to hit the source of their hatred, the Vatican. When this pope was elected, I thought he was the one in St. John Bosco’s vision. A priest I know also thinks this. The Church will have to go underground. It is interesting that one of Pope Francis’ favorite books is Lord of the World, which I have read five or six times and keep giving away.

Prayers, yes, and become saints….one never knows the day or the hour.

If they touch the Vatican. God have mercy on them
    Long live Christ the King!

  6. Nicholas says:

Thomas Aquinas College is offering a novena for the conversion of ISIS. If that fails, their quick death would work, too.

  7. SKAY says:

The security has been increased for the Pope.

Thank you for the information Father Z. I will pass it on to other friends and family.

For some time now I’ve been praying the St. Michael the Archangel prayer for an end to Daesh and the conversion of their members.

  10. My son, whom I am already concerned about attending the March for Life, is applying to study at the Lateran next year. What can we do? “Pray, hope and don’t worry.” Well I will still worry a bit.

  11. juergensen says:

I wonder if the recent “synod”, publicly obsessed as it was with “welcoming” adulterers and sodomites, served to confirm these Muslim terrorists in their view of the West in general and of the Church in particular?

  12. The Masked Chicken says:

The problem isn’t so much Rome, but that the Italian people, like France and England, made a disastrous mistake in allowing large populations of Moslems to immigrate to their country, providing a ready supply of easily swayed homegrown terrorists. There is no easy solution at this point, only simple ones – deportation or conversion.

  15. Joseph-Mary says:

Of course Rome, the Vatican, is a target and the enemy has said this. There is also the enemy of souls who is behind the earthly enemy.
The U.S. is also ripe. There is a new mosque in my mid-sized town. There are sleeper cells all around, even in little towns. One little town has about 3000 muslims already. They get everything free. Coordinated attack more than possible in many many areas but they will go for the big targets to get international news. We did not get the news about Beirut; I read it online.
We have a Polish priest in my parish. For 6 months he has been seeking to renew his visa with no response. It expires in 4 weeks. But illegals and muslim ‘refugees’ have no problem. Christians, especially Catholics and Catholic religious are hassled and denied. Why can’t something be done? How can one man at the top, a puppet of the enemy, be allowed to bring the country down?

  16. juergensen says:

The faithful are threatened on all sides these days, physically by the Muslims in the East, and spiritually by the homosexualist wolves in Rome.

  17. Ferde Rombola says:

Padre, my daughter is traveling to Italy next week. I sent the State Department warnings to her. Thanks for posting!

  18. pannw says:

I know from research on approved Catholic prophecy that some suggest that war will begin in France and Italy almost simultaneously. I feel like I’m witnessing the fulfillment of prophecy.

Supertradmum, I have said almost the exact thing about Pope Francis ever since he walked out on the balcony.

  19. Mike says:

This Tuesday I returned from Rome after having had the privilege on the previous morning of hearing Holy Mass in the Catacombs. Irrespective of the accuracy of the pious belief that the primitive Roman Church actually lived, as well as being buried, down there, it did skip through my mind for a second that what we were doing on Monday morning was a prefigurement of events to come soon.

  20. Orphrey says:

One reason St. Peter’s is probably not a target to be destroyed by terrorists is that they want to convert it into a mosque. What a triumph that would be for the caliphate! See: http://www.onepeterfive.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/magazine-dabiq.jpg

  21. Fleeb says:

Just returned from Rome last week. We stayed at the Residenza Madri Pie (highly recommended) which is only 2 blocks from the Basilica. Every day we were accosted by middle eastern men pawning “selfie sticks” or tickets to some venue or another.

Friday, they were gone! Not one of the them were around. I understand Friday is their holy day, but the fact that not one of them were pestering westerners on such a fateful day was a bit eerie in retrospect.

Every large church in the city has at least one Carabinieri posted outside protecting it.
