- Pray for the repose of the soul of Fr. Michael Duesterhaus, who died last week. His funeral is today. TWO people contacted me with Mass intentions for him. Since today is the day of his burial, I’ll say a Requiem for him this afternoon at 1700 EDT for the live stream.
- I sold my mother’s car this morning. Another piece of the puzzle.

Yeah, those Super Heavy booster catches are exciting, but that video is quite old. The most recent such catch was on March 6, 2025. That’s nearly 18 months ago! That X account is replete with clickbait and LLM slop: sorry to burst your bubble.
There was a Falcon Heavy launch on Sunday, August 30th, and it was “picture-perfect” because both of the Falcon side boosters returned to the launch site for perfect landings, whilst the Nancy Grace Roman Telescope was successfully deployed. Stay tuned for its arrival at the L2 point, which is projected for December 8, 2026!
Fr. Duesterhaus was a wonderful man. I was sad to hear of his passing, and would have loved to have attended his funeral but I was committed as a musician elsewhere in the diocese during the time of his funeral Mass. Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis.
