Cardinals and Bishops issue a “Declaration of Truths” intended to “aid” the Supreme Pontiff

A small group including Card. Burke and Bp. Schneider have issued a Declaration of Truths comprising some 40 paragraphs over 8-pages under various subheadings, and have also issued an Explanatory note comprising some 1300 words and 2 single spaced pages.

Declaration of Truths Explanatory Note

From the Explanatory Note:

A common voice of the Shepherds and the faithful through a precise declaration of the truths will be without any doubt an efficient means of a fraternal and filial aid for the Supreme Pontiff in the current extraordinary situation of a general doctrinal confusion and disorientation in the life of the Church.

From the Declaration:

Excellent homily outline for the next 6 months.

God bless Cardinals Burke and Pujats, and Bishops Schneider, Peta and Lenga for their tireless defence of the immutable truths of the Catholic faith.

Signed by 5 of the approximately 5000 Catholic prelates in the world. Hmm … The Protestant reformation–when 18 of the 19 English bishops apostatized–comes to mind.

I think a lot more than this is going to be necessary soon. Today there was an interview in the Spanish on-line publication InfoVaticana by Almudena Martínez-Bordiú with José Antonio Ureta, author of “El Cambio de Paradigma del Papa Francisco – Ruptura o Continuidad en la Misión de la Iglesia”, (Pope Francis’ Paradigm Shift: Rupture or Continuity in the Mission of the Church) about the upcoming Amazon Synod. This is the synod about which a particularly heretical German bishop crowed, “the Church will never be the same.” Even Bergoglio has said something to that effect.

Aside from married clergy, deaconesses and the usual stuff, we have a blood curdling part of the agenda where the focus will be on inculturation and the placing of the native religions on a par with or even above Christianity. One of the questions apparently will be whether the native religions may be practiced along with Christianity, with a Spanish Jesuit giddily rejoicing that, yes, they may, and it appears that some of the bishops do so already and accept the shamans as their equals. Francis really seems to like this idea too, and praises their “unity with the earth and the animals, the sky, the stars” – well, you get the idea, the Rousseauian vision of the noble savage out there practicing carefree his pantheistic virtues. Christianity is viewed as a hostile intrusion into this bliss.

I hope the bishops are preparing to defend the Faith like never before.

So sad that the Holy Father needs to be schooled in these matters.
