If there is anything redeeming in this entire press created fiasco it is that the rest of the world is finally noticing that Christian churches are being attacked and Christian religious are being killed in predominantly Muslim nations. Gee, it’s only been happening for a few years now-at least.
I’m still waiting for someone to prove to me that Islam is a religion of peace.
I’m certainly not convinced by Muslim reactions and statements of the last several days.
I am so glad to see that at least some of my fellow Roman Catholics in the West are aware of the danger of resurgent Islamic supremacism and skeptical of the propaganda spread on its behalf.
Let’s see: The pope cited a 14th century text that, among other things, says that Islam is a violent religion. And certain Moslems, upset at that, threaten to kill him.
Contra factum non est disputandum.
I am once again reminded of Our Lady of Fatima–and the irony that Fatima was Mohammed’s daughter.
It frightens me that although these radicals say they are peaceful, they have no desire to do things in a peaceful way UNLESS it is their way. For them, submission is peaceful. That is the only way, if you do not submit, then YOU are the instigator. This should frighten not only the Christian world, but the seculars as well.
The probability that someone is denigrating your
religion is directly proportional to the stupidity and
violence of your unreasonable demands.
Accept Islam? I think not. Jesus has provided a much
better deal, is a LOT more peaceful, and while he demands
much of us, he helps us carry it out, promising that our
suffering is useful and in unity with His own.
That, and since Jesus is God’s son and Mohammud..well..
was NOT…isn’t the choice clear?
“Accept Islam” is NOT one of the choices on the list.
