Maritime Museum

I am on my way to the Maritime Museum now. It is a beautiful sunny day!

A view from the upper deck of the bus and nearby tube station.

Can I recommend that the best way to arrive at the maritime museum (and to return to central London once finished there) is on the Thames Clipper, the inexpensive catamaran service which runs along the Thames. There is a pier in Greenwich for embarking – one of the great inside secrets of London!

Also, if you are looking for somewhere to lunch while in Greenwich, may I suggest the Coach and Horses – an excellent pub inside Greenwich’s covered market.

Today would also be an excellent day to make your way up to the Greenwich observatory; superb views of London and a marvellous museum of Timekeeping, Astronomy and Navigation.

    Some thoughts anyway…
