I was alerted that YouTube pulled the videos of the desecrations of consecrated Hosts.
Perhaps some of you will know more about what is going on with this.

“He [Satan] will set up a counter-Church which will be the ape of the Church because, he the devil, is the ape of God. It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content. It will be a mystical body of the anti-Christ that will in all externals resemble the mystical body of Christ. In desperate need for God, whom he nevertheless refuses to adore, modern man in his loneliness and frustration will hunger more and more for membership in a community that will give him enlargement of purpose, but at the cost of losing himself in some vague collectivity.”
“Who is going to save our Church? Not our bishops, not our priests and religious. It is up to you, the people. You have the minds, the eyes, and the ears to save the Church. Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops act like bishops.”

That way I have steady income I can plan on, and you wind up regularly on my list of benefactors for whom I pray and for whom I periodically say Holy Mass.

"But if, in any layman who is indeed imbued with literature, ignorance of the Latin language, which we can truly call the 'catholic' language, indicates a certain sluggishness in his love toward the Church, how much more fitting it is that each and every cleric should be adequately practiced and skilled in that language!" - Pius XI
"Let us realize that this remark of Cicero (Brutus 37, 140) can be in a certain way referred to [young lay people]: 'It is not so much a matter of distinction to know Latin as it is disgraceful not to know it.'" - St. John Paul II
Grant unto thy Church, we beseech Thee, O merciful God, that She, being gathered together by the Holy Ghost, may be in no wise troubled by attack from her foes. O God, who by sin art offended and by penance pacified, mercifully regard the prayers of Thy people making supplication unto Thee, and turn away the scourges of Thine anger which we deserve for our sins. Almighty and Everlasting God, in whose Hand are the power and the government of every realm: look down upon and help the Christian people that the heathen nations who trust in the fierceness of their own might may be crushed by the power of thine Arm. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. R. Amen.

I was on American Papist where it was linked and the videos are still active as of now. Im not sure what is happening but they are not pulled yet.
Let’s keep watching this.
Fr. Z,
The videos were apparently pulled down for a few hours yesterday and the user’s account suspended, but everything has since been reinstated.
Here’s a brief update, plus some background info on the whole mess.

I had read this yesterday from Catholic.org:
http://www.catholic.org/national/national_story.php?id=29746
They’re still up – videos, account of the user who makes the videos, and all.
I’m not sure if this guy just bought a 500-count Party Pack of hosts for this travesty, or if he’s finding an actual way to run off with *that many* consecrated hosts. If it’s the latter, someone’s asleep at the communion rail!
Would it be ethical to send this man hosts that have not been consecrated so that he merely desecrates bread?
Not sure how many people on here are on facebook, but I was made aware of a facebook group helping to spread the message of take the videos down. If you are on facebook join the group and then pass the messages including the e-mail that they are asking to be sent along to others.
Here’s the link to the group:

All of the Youtube videos were put up by one individual from Canada. He evidently has found other outlets for his videos and continues to spread them on the web. Evidently, he is part of the crowd associated with the University of Minnesota Morris professor you’ve referenced previously on your blog, or at least has been supported on the professors blog. It all seems to be a tiny little group of very confused or sick people. I pray the disease spreads no further
We must pray! This is a total Outrage to Our Lord. Satan is behind every door waiting to trap us. An act of reperation is in order. Pray and fast! these people are attacking the Heart of Holy Mother Church.
The desecrations are an outrage, but is the depiction of them?
The desecration of the Body of the God-Man, Jesus Christ, the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus was an outrage, but depictions of it are venerated, in every Catholic church, in every Catholic home.
Perhaps, despite the intent of this sick or evil individual, God is working some good purpose out through all this.
Let us all determine to spend time before the tabernacle, in prayer and reparation.

I pull all the YouTube videos from my site a little while ago. The Catholic League has released a letter to YouTube:
http://www.priestsincrisis.com/blog/general-topics/youtube-reinstates-eucharistic-desecration-videos/
“Pater, dimitte illis: non enim sciunt quid faciunt.”
Would it be ethical to send this man hosts that have not been consecrated so that he merely desecrates bread?
In short, no. That is, if you said, “Here are some unconsecrated hosts, have at it.” It is still desecration of something religious much like someone desecrating unblessed scapulars–you would still be providing cooperation in a sacrilegeous act.
If you said, “Here are some consecrated hosts.” but they aren’t, then you are still doing the above and adding lying to the mix.
Prayer, vigilence with Precious Body and Blood, and pressure on YouTube to not give it a forum. That’s about it.
I have decided to remove my account with YouTube in protest of their
allowing the videos to be reposted.
I encourage others to do the same.
I also encourage people to support GodTube.com.

As I mentioned on my blog (the Black Biretta), YouTube removed a video of a man urinating on a Jewish Holocaust memorial in Greece after it was up five days in August, thanks to protests from anti-defamation leagues and people of all faiths. Why are Catholic Christians treated differently? These sacrilegious desecration videos have been online for two months. There appears to be a double-standard at YouTube in terms of what religious hatred and intolerance they tolerate.
I’d just like to add a comment to calm nerves. Someone has already suggested it here. This jerk desecrator is obviously using a bag of unconsecrated hosts. Since we can’t tell the difference, it makes it easier for him. Nobody who really denied transubstantiation would bother to go to all that trouble to get consecrated hosts. What for? Evil is consistently evil. His purpose is to outrage us, not to desecrate a Lord Whom he denies is there anyway. Let’s just ignore him while, at the same time, saying the Divine Praises for all the real desecrations which do occur throughout the world when someone receives unworthily, or otherwise.
Let’s keep in mind that God is omnipotent. Hence either He withdraws Himself and ‘detransubstantiates’ to prevent overt desecration (or else assures that none of the hosts acquired for this purpose are valid in the first place), or else He allows it for some reason known only to Him. We are priviledged to understand the Divine Mind only to the extend that He makes that possible for us. One thing we can be sure of is that God is not under the control of some nitwit but quite the reverse.
P.K.T.P.
PKTP, you’re mistaken. I just watched one of his videos, in which he received Holy Communion at a Mass, turned the camera on himself to show the host on his tongue, and then spit it out when he had left church. This is sick. Sad. Evil. Fr. Dan’s right. We need to pray and fast in reparation. And we need to hold YouTube accountable as well.
