OLDIE PODCAzT 20: Leo the Great and Benedict – Habemus Papam!

This OLDIE PODCAzT takes us to the 5th century to spend some time with Leo the Great, Pope from 440-461.

Leo was very conscious of the primacy of the Bishop of Rome among all the bishops of the world.  Also, today I talk about the anniversary of the election of Pope Benedict!

I have some audio of the announcement "Habemus Papam!" and his first speech.  On the way out there is the audio of his first Urbi et Orbi Blessing.

    Father,

Thank you so much for your podcasts! I know it takes a lot of time and effort to podcast well, but I would love to see you do a weekly podcast; it’s something I’d even pay some money for.

Hello Father. This is completely off-topic but did you by any chance read the article in Catholic Times by Mgr Basil Loftus?
