Where you are!

Here is a brief snapshot of the some of the places people are when they visit the blog.  These are in many cases estimations, depending on where a person’s provider or server might be situated.  I cut out all the "unknowns" and vague "Canada" references, etc.

It is interesting to see how the who world and beyond is getting around in the internet!

  16. David says:

OOOOh Father. Are you an alien? You show an unhealthy interest in Doctor Who.

The Who Easter special (I think it’s nice the Doctor has an Easter special, but I’m not keen on the current makers’ treatment of the Doctor as god-like. Nor was I happy when, in the recent special, the character of The Doctor implied he knew what “really happened” at the first Easter.

Please don’t forget us lowly people from the “dark and protestant city” of Dundee, Scotland.

Anyway, now that the Octave is over. I wish you all a happy Eastertide!

  37. RBrown says:

RBrown, I distinctly remember the smoke being earlier than it would have been, had they burned the ballots at the end of the day’s last scrutiny (the chimney started smoking at about 1745, if I recall).
The distinctness with which I remember this is no guarantee of my memory’s reliability, though :-)
    Comment by Chris Altieri

You might be right. When I turned on the TV, however, they were saying that it was longer than expected from the time they had entered for the afternoon session.

The first ballot already having taken place the day before, Apr 19th began with the 2d and 3d ballots in the morning session. BXVI was elected on the 1st afternoon ballot (3rd of the day, 4th overall). I think the 5:45 smoke would have been early for the second afternoon ballot, but it was late for the first when in fact he was elected.

  51. Father Totton says:

greetings from the once episcopal see city of St. Joseph, MO. About 50 years back, The Holy See combined our fair municipality with a city of much less importance (not even named for a saint) one hour to the south. We still hold out for the day when the Bishop will return as full-time ordinary and reclaim H.E.’s rightful place in our Cathedral. Until that gloriuos day, we will continue to faithfully check in on the word from the Sabine Farm.

  52. chris p says:

Cool! Los Angeles made the list! :)

Mothership…the Visitors? Hopefully, Diana isn’t wearing 80’s big hair still. Or perhaps the Goa’uld? Oh no! Anubus or Baal are about to attack! Jaffa, kree!

  53. Saskia says:

Hello from the Catholic Hinterland a.k.a. Utah. I feel so alone…the Faith here, in general (though there are a few exceptions), seems lethargic and tepid and defeated in the face of the Mormon Giant. So many concessions have been made..a stale clinging to pop liturgy (Life teen Masses) desperately trying to attract youth. We need the fire of Roman Catholic orthodoxy to win Latter-Day hearts and souls.

  54. Saskia says:

Let me clarify..we need the fire of Roman Catholic Orthodoxy to win back Catholic souls! Latter Day souls would be a bonus.

Greetings to all from Fargo, especially the ladies from España. ¡Cuidaos!
