Pray for a priest who collapsed

In your goodness would you pray for an intention?

Please pray for Father Robert Parent in Lewiston, Maine. Apparently he collaspsed during Mass on Palm Sunday and was taken to hospital. He is the only priest in the state of Maine currently offering a weekly TLM.

Whenever I hear of things like this I want to get on an airplane and go help.  Not very practical, I know.  But, I remember the sentiment of St. Augustine: where there is charity there are no distances.

We can support them in prayer from afar.

Poor Priest. Only a few more days until Father’s Fay too. I will pray for him.

WDTPRS readers may want to remember their favorite EF Mass Priest/Fathers this Maundy Thursday and give them a Father’s Day Gift.

Maundy Thursday has always been “Father’s Day” for me

I’m happy to report that the last word we heard from Fr. Parent is that he
is at home resting after suffering a concussion. He even said he would be
ready to say Easter Mass for us. Thank the good Lord. Our Palm Sunday Mass
at the Portland cathedral was cancelled because he was in the hospital. We
were going to look into having a backup priest for Easter if necessary. We
pray that won’t be necessary. But we’d be delighted to have you, Fr. Z.

  10. Suzanne says:

  12. Supertradmom says:

May the Holy Jesuit and Lay Martyrs of North America restore him to health.
