Lovely to see the Red-breasted Nuthatch. I’ve never had the pleasure. Do you kind of take in a breath when you see a rare visitor for the first time? I have in the past, but have not had any rare sightings for a while. However, we live near a golf course and my husband saw for himself a mature Bald Eagle. Before that he had only heard about the Eagle. I am not a golfer, but I plan to go for a visit hopefully to catch a glimpse. East coast, MD, near the Chesapeake Bay.

I had a surprise this week when A PEACOCK crossed in front of me! Didn’t have its long tail feathers with all the ‘eyes’-but it was really weird to see it! I thought peacocks were tropical birds!
