Tony, the guy in the Office of Liturgy whose email is provided above, is a really faithful and devout guy. Several recent initiatives have come out of that office that have really helped the devotional life of the Local Church here in Denver. This is truly a Catholic paradise, and at times I have a really hard time imagining the stuff other people are going through. There are a few older Priests who are pretty bad, but it truly is a wonderful Archdiocese to be Catholic in. This initiative in particular is really getting pushed in the local Catholic Register as well as in the Parishes. Thank God for this Archdiocese, our great and full seminary, all our religious and priests, our two wonderful Bishops, and Pope Benedict!!
We started our 60 hours today in honor of Pope Benedict. The parish is very small, but I believe they only had one block of time they had to fill yet as of this morning. I am grateful to have the opportunity.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Fort Collins, CO will also host a 60 hours devotion. May those in northern Colorado hopefully avail themselves of either the time in Denver or in Fort Collins during this very special adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Holy Rosary Parish in Cedar, Michigan is also having 60 Hour Adoration.
The Cathedral in the Archdiocese of Baltimore is doing the same thing.
Just went over to my Upstate New York diocese’s website….one big fat ZERO! Not a peep about the Holy Father’s Diamond Jubilee of ordination!
Sheesh…..
