I don’t have an account, so I thought I might render this into Latin for others.
@Pontifex_ln
Gratias tibi agimus, Tua Sanctitas, ob Sanctae Eucharistiae distribuendae hominibus genuaflectentibus exemplum!
#catholic
[My I suggest it without the “hominibus”? Extra letters to be eliminated? Thus: @Pontifex_ln Gratias Tibi agimus ob Sanctae Eucharistiae distribuendae genuaflectentibus exemplum! #catholic]
Tweet in English has been sent.
Tweet sent (English) and remembered hashtag!
I am one of the not-much-into-it-tweeters. I tweeted in English. Then searched on #catholic but only found Fr. Z’s tweet nestled among other non @pontifex tweets. Am I searching incorrectly?
Is it wrong to wonder how many others are tweeting? Should I keep my eyes lowered in silent prayer? Is this sort of like peeking to see if others are receiving on the tongue instead of in the hand? Am I being scrupulous?
Maybe I’ll go check out Eye of the Tiber…
You need to click the link that says “All” to get the full list. By default, the search is limited to “Top” tweets, whatever they are.
Tweet in Latin has been sent to the Holy Father’s Latin account (@BenedictusPPXVI). Thank you for the translation, Father.
Thank you, Will D!
The mobile app doesn’t seem to have the “all” option.
But I persisted! I logged on from my desktop and discovered many more options. And saw some of Fr. Z’s other readers’ tweets!
Tweeted.
#catholic is really generic hashtag though.
OrthodoxChick
I don’t think that is his Latin account, but rather @Pontifex_ln
I think @BenedictusPPXVI is an impostor.
Fr. Z, I would suggest a hashtag of “wdtprs” , for example.
PatriciusOenus,
I’ll double check that. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
