Catholic Vote on silly WaPo article about retired Benedict’s sly influence

Over at Catholic Vote (thanks Tom Peters for the link about the Cool Kid’s Conclave and I hope everyone will go read your information about the March for Marriage), there is a good examination of some fantasy literature in the Washington Post about the influence Pope Emeritus Benedict might have in the background after the election of a new Pope. The title of the CatholicVote entry says it all:

They did such a good job that I don’t have to do anything. Check it out HERE.

We all help each other out, or ought to, in the Catholic blogosphere.  “I have a dream… ” anyway.

That said, check out the pages about the March for Marriage 26 March 2013 in Washington DC. One is HERE

It is being sponsored by great groups. HERE

The March for Marriage site HERE

During the March for Life, I ran into Tom Peters – almost literally – as he was passing out handbills among the marchers for the March for Marriage.

If Hans Küng is one of his sources, that probably tells you already what stripe of “grumbling Vatican-based cardinals” have been willing to talk to him.

  2. Legisperitus says:

Whoops, I see Mr. Crowe already said that…

  3. MarcAnthony says:

I love how he mentions “Vatican based Cardinals” then quotes a German theologian and an Archbishop, neither of whom were Cardinals, nor were there comments particularly controversial. For all we know he could have made up those “sources” with all of the info about them he gave us.

  4. Patrick-K says:

Another pointless non-story from the legacy media. It’s amazing how brazenly they pass off ill-informed predictions about the future as “news.” Note it wasn’t filed under “editorial,” or even “analysis” … The cracks are starting to show, though, I think the Bob Woodward fiasco has led some people out of the progressive groupthink media bubble.

  5. dominic1955 says:

It seems that the worst assault on a free press is the abuse of the same. Who needs a state-run propaganda organ when you have newrooms full of empty-headed liberals? All the lies but without the taint of being officially governmentally controlled.

Honestly, who writes this crap and who are the idiots that think this is journalism?

  6. maryh says:

The liberals are afraid that when the cardinals elect the first non-Catholic pope, she’ll be uncomfortable having the Pope Emeritus so close by.

The news media went to the library. They found a book about anti-popes and the like, and they’re just testing the waters to see what they can stir up. Typical.
