URGENT ACTION ITEM: Special warfare for the Church on 1 Nov, 2 Nov, 3 Nov – VIDEO

Friends and I have kicked around a project which you can all participate.

Get this video out to at least FIVE other people.

Ask each one of them to share it with another FIVE… etc.

What’s this about?

The Church Militant is being disordered from the very highest climbs of influence, both within the Church and without.

We have to FIGHT for the Church.

The Church’s membership can be considered from three different angles.  All members of the Church belong to Christ’s Mystical Body.  Three groups participate as a Church in Christ, those who are alive on this earth now, those who have died and are awaiting in purification the Beatific Vision (for only the pure can see God) and those who, having died in the friendship of God, having done all the temporal punishment due to sin, having been purified of all attachment to sin, now enjoy together the bliss of Heaven for eternity.

The Church Triumphant enjoys heaven.
The Church Suffering is being purified.
The Church Militant is marching yet as pilgrims in this world.

The world itself is disordered in our regard because of sin.  We have wounds to our human nature, which makes it hard to learn and to control impulses.  This world is beset by its “Prince” as Christ calls the Enemy Devil.   We are fighting, as pilgrim warriors constantly against “the world, the flesh, and the Devil.

Consider these three days.

1 November – All Saints (the Church Triumphant) – A HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION
2 November – All Souls (the Church Suffering) – INDULGENCES
3 November – SUNDAY (the Church Militant) – A HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION

We propose to you to pray for the Church in a special way over these three days.

Here is the concrete project.

Let us ask for the intercessory prayers of the Church Triumphant and the Church Suffering for the Church Militant.

1 November you WILL go to Mass.  It is of Obligation this year.   Ask the Church Triumphant to intercede.  Pray to the Queen of Heaven, Mary, Mother of the Church, with a “Memorare” after Communion (which I hope you can receive, in the state of grace).

2 November you CAN gain a Plenary Indulgence for the souls of members of the Church Suffering.   Pray for the dead.   You can visit a cemetery and you can gain the indulgences in other ways as well.   Go to Mass and say a Memorare for the Church.  Ask Mary, Queen also of the Church Suffering to intercede for the Church on earth.

3 November you WILL go to Mass. Every Sunday is a day of Obligation.   Pray for the Church Militant in the special way.   At Mass say a Memorare after Communion for the Church Militant, of which you are a member.  Shoulder your spear and pack and pray.

Today, 1 November, engage in battle for the Church.

This is a time of spiritual battle.  YOU can alert your friends and loved ones to join the ranks of this battle line.  Get the word out.  Get the troops into position.   Send them the video.   Tell them what you are going to do.  Tell your parish priests.  Make at least 5 calls or contacts.

At the end of these three days we may not see the results of our efforts right away, but we will have done something that can be worked with on high. Remember. Christ crowns His own merits in our actions. By ourselves we are too weak to do anything. But Christ gives us the work to do, places our hands on the plow or on the hilt. He places His hands over ours, to make our hands strong enough. By so doing the works are ours and they are His and He crowns His merits in us.

Your holy efforts create ripples out into the cosmos, both visible and invisible.

Let us strike a mighty blow on 1 and 2 and 3 November and leave the Queen of Heaven to ask her Son to work His will in our ways.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.

  2. Diana says:

    ON IT! Thank you, Father.

  3. Am fasting today for the vigil of All Saints. Will try to fulfill the call to prayer for the next three days. It is needed.

  4. Irish Timothy says:

Done! Thank you for this Father. Excellent reminders and video.

In light of the fact that the Church took Latin from her pagan enemies before, and made it her own, which must be a grave affront to the principalities and powers with which we find ourselves once again contending…

Is the Latin of the Memorare around somewhere to print off and read? (Or to whip out on one’s phone and read, even.) I assume there must be a Latin version since, you know, the name is “Memorare”.

  6. FN says:

Pulled this off the Laudate app.

    Memoráre, o píisima Virgo María,
non esse audítum a sæculo, quemquam ad tua curréntem præsídia,
tua implorántem auxília, tua peténtem suffrágia esse derelíctum.
    Ego tali animátus confidéntia ad te, Virgo Vírginum, Mater, curro;
ad te vénio; coram te gemens peccátor assísto.
Noli, Mater Verbi, verba mea despícere,
sed audi propítia et exáudi. Amen.

Done. Just sent request to my extended family (many more than 5)

    Moving…

Also, just as feedback I wanted to let you know this has been sent to me by multiple people….not all Trads. It has managed to reach the NOs as well who seem to be even more inspired. I think this might be Pachamama backlash. Those who have been on the fence are off it now and on the side of defending the tenets of the faith.

As I recently heard one man say, “God really can cook, can’t He?”. Whatever the ingredients He is left to work with He will make it turn out AWESOME!

    Deus Vincit!

  9. VexillaRegis says:

While I have lots of really good Catholic friends, from “Traddies” to very liberal ones, I have none to send this appeal to – I don’t want to scandalise anyone by telling them what I think of the Pope and his supporters. I only speak about it in the confessional.

However, tonight (GMT -1) my 10 year old son and I went to confession, adoration, a rosary and Mass. I asked the Church Triumphant to intercede for us, but forgot to say the Memorare (I said it later at home). My son served at Mass. On our way there, I told him about plenary indulgencies (which he was all for :-)) and we plan on going to the cemetery tomorrow and pray for the dead. Of course we will go to Mass tomorrow, aswell as on Sunday!

I just can’t tell my darling son anything at all about what is happening to and in the Church now. It would be completely devastating for him. He loves Jesus and going to church. God have mercy!

Thank you Fr. Z. We are going to Confession tomorrow and asking God for a plenary indulgence for a recently passed loved one and mercy for all the poor souls.

  11. The Cobbler says:

    Thanks, FN!

(Wow, the Latin is beautiful. The English is one of our better translations, but this is even more poetic.)

Went to the 6pm mass that I found was available in Phoenix. The homily taught me something. Each day has a Saint who was human & lived a human life, had human troubles, and somehow worked their way to a state of Grace with the Beatitudes. The St. Joseph and St. Andrew Missal was referenced as a guide to seek 5 friends who might help us in our daily lives. It was nice that I went. Thanks for the reminder. LOTS of people in church tonight. If they had church services at 6pm each night they’d start seeing more people going I think instead of the 7am services. People want to decompress after work and the best place is with God in church after work each day. But none of the churches are open just to go in and have a moment of silence. They’re all locked unless a certain service is going on. Its really sad. It didn’t used to be like this. I spent many nights as a twentysomething in church before 10pm close time just being with the Lord as I went through college. It was quiet and I could just think and read the bible in the pews. But times change.

I’ll go to my grandma’s grave on Saturday and then mass again on Sunday. Thanks for the reminder Father Z.

Praying. Solidarity! (As Fr. George David Byers says.)

  14. OssaSola says:

2 out of 3 so far. This evening was a Requiem Mass with full orchestra, schola, black vestments, and catafalque (!) This gem at the parish we just joined after moving to a new city this month. What a blessing!

  15. Q7 says:

Fr. Z & Co. ~ you hit the jackpot tonight with an entire parish! The pastor at a local large N.O. parish where we attended the Sunday evening anticipatory Mass announced before the recessional that “an organization was requesting that everyone offer a Memorare for all that’s wrong with the Church,” then taught briefly about the Memorare, then asked everyone to turn to a certain page in the pew missals where it was printed so we could ALL recite it together right there and then! And he led off and the whole church followed! It was fantastic! When he announced it, the kids gave me elbows and big knowing smiles. Best news: I had not sent your post to him! But from what I’ve seen of him, he will likely do it for all the rest of the Sunday Masses as well. A very uplifting experience — reminiscent of what it must have been to pray as a group on the eve of Lepanto. A parish united earnestly and humbly in prayer for something or someone has *enormous* positive power.
    Irresistible.
    Electrifying.
    Vivifying.

  16. VexillaRegis says:

Mission completed, as the Church Militant would have put it! Dear son and I have been attending Mass three days in a row, prayed the communal Rosary thrice in church, gone to confession on Friday, gone to adoration and benediction twice and prayed for the dead in a cemetery on All Souls Day. I also said the Memorare after Communion according to Your instructions each day and my son served (alone) at all Masses. We are tired but happy.

Today we sung Missa Simplex at our NO Mass. It was announced beforehand, that we would be singing Pater Noster in Latin too, but when the time came, p. B was distracted and said: Let us pray. At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching – oh, sorry, I forgot – we were going to say it in Latin! – eh – Praeceptis salutaribus moniti… and you could see how much he loved it :-)

  17. OssaSola says:

    Done, done, and done.

    What’s next?
