VINTAGE RECTORY BATHROOM TILES: 02

Yeah… I think I’ve seen this theme in other rectories.  Thanks, Father, for sending it in for the edification of all.

Father’s note:

My rectory guest bathroom.
When They decided to go with this tile it reminds me of Dickens. To paraphrase,
It was the worst of times, it was the worst of time. It was the age of no wisdom, it was definitely the age of foolishness.

On the other hand, note the graceful art deco details of the tub.

Pink was a thing.  Heck it was even a color of uniforms of the US Army.  “Pinks.”

And let us never forget The Duke.

PRODCEDURAL NOTE.

If more than one offering arrives on the same day, I’ll put them on one post and start over the next day.   One expects an avalanche.  After all we are already up to #2!

The Army “Pinks and Greens” are back, and they look fantastic! They even brought back the Ike Jacket this year.

Look up Army Green Service Uniform.

I wonder was the original colour of the tub is. It looks painted.

That is no guest room bathroom, but rather the bathroom of the former Rectory Housekeeper who once upon a time had distinct living quarters in rectories built in olden days!

    Housekeepers suite?

Lovely pink tiles! Haven’t seen these since my childhood home. And don’t forget the red velveteen wall paper with gold reflective background!!! My Mom’s “most awesome” interior decorating!!!!

“It’s rose, not pink!!!” said the crusty old pastor.
