Great pictures, Father! I love the youthful oriole! That’s awesome. (Tell him the Balto. O’s won a game.) The young ones tailing their parents around are so funny, they are usually as big as the parents, but keep yakking for food. You have quite a variety of birds. They are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your photos.
The Lamb’s Supper is one of my favorite books, it opened my eyes on the mass as heaven on earth.
Beautiful creatures. It reminds me of the Lord’s teaching about Providence and intimacy i.e. when He knows about how each one of them passes away. What a wonderful God we have. I just saw a male cardinal (bird! lol) pick up a seed and feed it to his female companion. It was the sweetest thing! ..from here, near Baltimore…

I’m pretty sure it was his mate, they are close in size and she looks mature. They have been visiting the feeder together quite frequently here of late. Maybe the young ones have ‘flown the coop’ and they are enjoying their new-found freedom together. They love peanuts, I don’t usually make a point to feed peanuts, but the batch of seed has a few in it. But I have been cracking a few extra peanuts and putting them in for the Cardinals. Now and then, if I have slacked off on the extra peanuts, I’ll hear their loud, sharp chirp..and so I get busy & add their extra peanuts to the feeder shelf.

I’m glad I don’t have to eat spiders…with all the grape jelly in the world, I couldn’t do it.
Anita, I believe the the top bird is the jelly-loving, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. He’s gorgeous.

Baby birds are so cute-even when they become ‘adolescents’ and lose their downy fuzziness! And then they don’t leave their parents alone!
