    Fr. Z,

Is that an original Xbox or have you upgraded to a 360, as I have?

    Pax!

  2. Cpt: Original, I’m afraid. It sure helps the time pass when doing the otehrwise dull time on the bike or cross-trainer.

  3. Vincenzo: ROFL!  I am not sure what that has to do with a gym, or supper or an Xbox, but ROFL!

  4. I made chocolate chip cookies too.

    Invalid matter, I’m afraid.

On the other hand, if they’re OATMEAL chocolate chip cookies . . .

  6. Jeff says:

As soon as I saw ‘Sabine’ and ‘X-box’ the words ‘Covenant Carbine’ immediately came to mind. This raises a good question: is Father a good shot with the Plasma Rifle???

  7. Jeff: Covenant Carbine

Against the box I do pretty well in Halo. I have worked through I and II in heroic mode (I think that is what it is called), though I haven’t used Halo to kill time for quite a while. I don’t know how I would fare online. On the bike I massacred Star Wars droids tonight.

  8. RBrown: OATMEAL chocolate chip cookies . . .

No, but they had walnuts in them. That should count for something.

    Father,
    Any photos of your gym?
I am a personal trainer and am always interested in physical culture.
    C’MON 30 MORE SECONDS…PUSH IT…DO NOT LET UP!
    God bless you.

  10. dan: Nope. There are a few helpful machines such as elliptical cross trainer, standing bike, tread mill, some free weights, other instruments of pain attached to a universal gym, a wall mounted TV on a swivel, sauna, a poster of St. Augustine and a framed picture of a Guardian Angel,… the usual stuff. I mentioned the XBox, which I removed from my house and put down there. There is a DVD player too.

Walnuts? I can only hope you have the Rite of Exorcism handy.

  12. RBrown: I can assure you that they won’t be around very long.
