Splendid photos of a Solemn Mass in London

Today I had a nice chat with His Hermeneuticalness, who told me that he had been subdeacon for a Solemn Mass at Spanish Place in London.  Mulier Fortis has some splendid photos of the Mass.

Here His Hermeneuticalness is holding the altar card of the Last Gospel at the moment of the Et verbum caro factum est.

Benedict XVI has opened the feathered gates to allow an unfettered celebration of the Mass of all ages. Michael Davies, a friend of his, said that then Cardinal Ratzinger was a great friend of Traditionalists–this is seemingly coming to fruition.

I wouldn’t be surprised if BXVI celebrates the TLM in private. It’s no secret that the Novus Ordo was concocted, as a witches brew, by a team of protestants, liberal catholics, and a probably mason (Bugnini)…

  2. Happy New Year to you, Fr. Z… thanks for the link, which will give me another stratospheric spike to start off 2010 in style!!

Somehow, starting off the New Year with a Novus Ordo Mass just wasn’t enough, hence the trek over to Spanish Place (BTW, glad you liked the photos)

Again (Ancore una Volte) AD Moltos Annos, for Pope Benedict XVI!!! We did not have a TLM for Midnight Mass, but do have one once a month in our town, THANK GOD!!!

My hope and prayer for 2010 is to be able to see Pope Benedict XVI pray the Solemn High Mass at St. Peter’s in Rome, Italy. What is that old saying ‘action’s speak louder then words’.
