A reminder that Pres. Obama has attacked the 1st Amendment… and YOU

I have been watching in a distracted way the live stream of the annual USCCB blah blah and occasionally checking the liberal reactions: rather like tossing a bad of treats into a dog park.

In any event, someone sent me this image:

What part of the so-called “AFFORDABLE” Care Act can we really afford?

Will religious communities be taxed/fined to oblivion for failure to insure up to OsamaCare standards?

Just remember, you didn’t build that!

The picture and comment on it are perfect–even in the not so obvious ways.

I heard today that some businesses are self insuring–and for the time being that is OK but the Dems are trying to close the loophole. After all-it is dangerous to let intelligent people think for themselves.

Or, “If you like your faith, you can keep your faith. Period.”

In Flanders and Swann’s musical skit “Greensleeves” (1957) they also pointed a parallel to then-contemporary Labour socialism. Henry VIIII’s ‘Master of the King’s Revels’ says to Thomas Kyd whom he is solicitng for a play, “It’s going to be rather a special occasion, we’re ‘nationalizing’ the monastaries.” But he continues, “If they offer you one, don’t take it, ’cause if bloody Mary gets in they’ll be denationalized.” In reality, of course, Mary Tudor became queen, but Parliament successfully insisted that there could be no resumption of Church lands now in the hands of lay owners. Cronysim triumphant! Worse yet, Simon Renard, the Imperial ambassador, wrote ro his master, Mary’s cousin and future father-in-law, Charles V, that more if such lands were in the possession of Catholics than of heretics and that in no circumstances were they prepared to countenance a new religious settlement that would result in their own impoverishment. 1553 small ‘c’?

    “more of”! Sorry!

Obama: Can you smell the “Hope and Change”, ladies and gent’s?

U.S. Citizens: Yes We Can, and it smells awful.

Supertradmum, to say that is disturbing would be a gross understatement. Thank you for the link, though I almost wish I could bury my head in the sand and go about life as obliviously as so many are doing.

I can hardly believe that I am living to see such days. God have mercy!
