Nice! That is what I would call a manly Catholic. This is the image that would appeal to young men to go against the current, the ways of the world and embrace being a knight, a soldier for Christ and His Church. St. Michael, lead these Knights of the Holy Eucharist into battle! +JMJ+

Yeah, these guys have been around for a little while now, in one form or another. That’s one very slick website.

I’d join if I can get a sword like that!

  4. pj_houston says:

We will need them to protect the Eucharist as it comes under attack from within the Church. There is now a movement to allow Lutherans to receive Holy Communion:

“…It also suggests that the expansion of opportunities for Lutherans and Catholics to receive Holy Communion together would be a sign of the agreements already reached….”

I love the combination of humility and strength.

  6. APX says:

What are they, exactly? They don’t profess public vows or promises (it says private promises), so they’re not religious. Are they a lay society of apostolic life? Just curious, as this part seems rather vague on their website.

That picture evokes ideas of the Crusading era – all in the dim and distant past.

    But is it?

I am quite sure that in the near future, shall we say 20 years, the Crusading spirit, albeit in a 21st century form will be back with a vengeance and then good, Catholic, manly, men and True (and women I stress ) will be in great demand.

Sadly in a way, I am too old. But I fear for my children and more so grandchildren. They will be asked to stand up against forces from within the Church but also savage attack from without!
