YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use the sharing buttons! Thanks!

Registered or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below.

You have to be registered here to be able to post.

I still have two pressings personal petitions.  No, I actually have THREE now.  I can’t get a break, it seems.  Ut Deus….

ALSO…

During this 100th year commemoration of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, remember the central message Our Lady gave to the Church and to the world: penance and reparation for sins and for the conversion of sinners.

Off your sufferings in reparation for sins and for the conversion of sinners.

I’m about ready to explode at a colleague of mine with whom there’s been a lot of tension, and I’m at my wit’s end. Please pray that I can be patient and remain charitable with her, and also that I can find a solution for working with her in peace.

  2. Moro says:

For the grace of a serious career breakthrough

Prayers for you, Father, and everyone here. Please pray for safe flights across country and back home for me. Have to check on my mother and I pray that the Lord will also keep my husband safe and healthy, while I’m gone and always. I’m always praying for our children who have left the Church. St. Monica bring them back. God bless you all.

  5. Liz says:

Prayers for all and I thank you for yours.

Please pray for sick family members.

    God bless and keep you!

  6. aviva meriam says:

Please pray for my husband and my careers (we are both rebuilding our careers) as well as our sons.
    We need God’s help

I will pray for all of you.

  7. JesusFreak84 says:

Still looking for a job; IT’s really far to the left, so there’s a very real fear about winding up at a company that does far-left virtue signaling. I don’t want to get an offer only to be fired in June for refusing to march in a “pride” parade.

  8. VexillaRegis says:

Please pray for me and my family, four personal intentions. I also have to make a very important decision regarding our parish. Would you please ask Sts Mary and Joseph to protect us?

  9. benedetta says:

For my mother who is undergoing surgery today, thank you.

  10. Someone wrote to me:

Father, I am a long time reader of yours, and God has shown Himself through you time after time.

Please pray for me. I carry the heaviest cross, and I bleed at every moment it seems like. Depression is the worst thing in the world. I’m at my wits end, and I need prayer from someone close to our Saviour.

Please ask your friends to pray for me as well. I am praying for you and your intentions. God Bless you, and thank you so much when you get this!

  11. Anneliese says:

Please pray for me. I have MS and it’s a struggle to walk sometimes, especially in the heat. Also for the next steps I should take in my life.

And please pray for the conversion of MPK, BRA, KP, AH, JDD, DJS and GJS. Some of them have strayed from the faith and some are in the Church but are completely ignorant of the Church’s teachings. I think if they understood more they wouldn’t be as cynical or bitter. Thank you.

  12. LarryW2LJ says:

Texas and all those along the Gulf coast being inundated by flooding.

  13. youngcatholicgirl says:

For and eight – year-old girl with degenerative kidney disease. Last I heard, she was on the waiting list for a new kidney and might not make it.

  14. Mary Jane says:

Prayers for all intentions mentioned here.

Please keep those along the Texas coast in your prayers. A category 4 hurricane made landfall on Friday night and Houston is being inundated with rainfall. The storm is no longer a hurricane, but it is dropping tremendous amounts of rain over the area. Reports indicate that some localized areas could see close to 50″ of rain before the system moves off. You can imagine what kind of flooding so much rain can cause. Not to mention other lesser-known flooding after effects, for example, alligators and snakes who are displaced by the flooding andl turn up in odd places.

  15. NancyP says:

Praying for all intentions here, stated and unstated.

I crave your prayers for a happy death for Mitch, for God’s peace for his grieving wife and daughters and for peaceful acceptance for all those who have accompanied him as he battled pancreatic cancer.

Please pray for my daughter’s godfather, whose undiagnosed cancer went to his brain. The prognosis is grim, but The Godpapa is upbeat and says he feels the effects of the many prayers people are offering for him. His wife, DD’s Godmom, is bearing up well, which is a miracle unto itself and a testament to the power of prayer. We are hoping for a miracle and working hard to be Church for both of them and for their extended family. Please storm Heaven.

My parents also need prayer. Mom is suffering and Dad is doing his level best to ensure that her life with dementia is as happy and comfortable as he can make it be. They are in difficult situations.

  16. donato2 says:

Please pray for my son who is suffering from depression, anxiety and chronic pain.

    for Farmers
    and for our priests.

  18. For the long time reader suffering. I will keep you in my daily prayer intentions. I know that dark fog can make one feel rather anemic and lethargic. For all others, I will remember tonight at the Divine Liturgy.

  21. Michael says:

I humbly ask all readers to pray for the repose of the soul of Luke Alexander Garrison, who passed away last Saturday at only 23 years old……just one week shy of his wedding.

As we can imagine, his fiancé, Allison Verhofstadt, is in a hard place. Please pray for her and their infant daughter, Lucy Catherine. All of them are devout Catholics.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

  22. HighMass says:

Our Son was accidentally killed in a farming accident the end of July. To say the least through the sorry and pain, God and Our Lady were there to come to our aid.

I ask you to pray for the repose of his soul, and our family that they all return to the sacraments, and for family healing.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. May his Soul and all the Souls of the faithfully departed rest in Peace.

  23. I just read your son’s obituary after seeing your prayer request. I’m so deeply moved. Will remember Luke, you and your family in my daily morning and evening prayers. How tragic… may God console you and let perpetual light shine on him!

  24. yatzer says:

For a member of my family whose bad choices have him in a situation that seems to have no good possibilities, and for his parents who are dazed and wondering how this could have happened.

  25. Chris Garton-Zavesky says:

    For prudence.
    For His Holiness, Pope Francis.

  27. aegsemje says:

For Steve, who is in his 40s and has stage 4 lung cancer. The chemotherapy has stopped working. He has a wife and 3 daughters. Please pray for miraculous healing if it is God’s will.

  28. ChgoCatholic says:

For my husband, who is experiencing (very unusual for him) anxiety and almost panic attacks due to the stress of our recent move with small children, and having to be home alone with them soon while anticipating another child. It’s scaring him to experience this, but we are praying that he can receive graces to understand it and what God wants from him, in addition to praying for his improved physical and mental health. Thank you!

  29. Sword40 says:

Please pray for my wife and I. She fell and broke her wrist and I have Vasovagall Syncope. So we haven’t been able to drive the 80 miles each way to our Sunday TLM for a couple of weeks now. Tonight we went to our first OF Mass is several years (a local parish). It was done pretty reverently but still……….. Anyway would appreciate prayers.

  30. araustin02 says:

For the conception and delivery of healthy baby(ies). We’ve been trying nearly two years and went through the pain of miscarriage. Please keep us and other subfertile/infertile couples in your prayers. Thank you.

  31. Liz says:

    Continued prayers for all.

I wanted to add: please pray for my son, Ben, who will be heading to seminary on Tuesday. Please pray for the other first-year seminarians and all of them. I know that it can be really hard for them.

Thank you. God bless you all!

  32. dahveed says:

My Rosary intentions before Mass today will be for all of you. I humbly ask your prayers for my father-in-law, for his conversion before his impending death. I’m also adding all of you to my regular intentions.

  33. KAS says:

I cried as I prayed over all these. Prayer for all of coastal Texas, what wasn’t damaged or destroyed by the hurricane directly is inundated with floods that are historic in their proportions. Seeing the pain people are suffering is sitting heavily on me.

I’ve had an intestinal something or other and missed confession yesterday, and am uncertain if I will make it to mass today. Depends. I feel so guilty for being unwell when so much needs to be done, I feel so guilty for not having more money to donate to all the groups working to help in Houston and Rockport and areas between. Prayer is what I’ve been doing and offering up the pain from the intestinal whatever.

Prayer for my husband’s friend, a ex Catholic who is angry and hates hates hates not only Catholicism but ALL Christianity, I have no clue what happened but he needs prayers to return to the Church. He keeps influencing my agnostic husband and this results in my husband saying negative things about faith to me, in front of the children, and this is undermining my work to teach the faith to them.

I don’t have a full tank on my van, poor gas milage, and live 10-20 miles from everywhere I need to go during the week. Pray that I am able to group everything and minimize fuel use since people have been doing a run on the pumps. And I ran out of money and am looking at waiting for a check to arrive through a postal service not fully running. And I am NOT affected by Harvey the way people all over this state are devastated by it. I am stressed and inconvenienced, but please pray for me too.

  34. Jack Orlando says:

That the Liturgy of the Hours may be prayed by more Catholics.

  35. lmgilbert says:

For a 75 y/o I have a great, well-paying part time job, but it is wearing me out and running me down. I need to find a way to handle it or to escape it altogether. We do need the income, so I need some wisdom about this

  36. Nan says:

Off to 10 am adoration where I’ll pray for all.

  37. Nan says:

@Liz, since I love mass, I pray for seminarians, generally, and will add Ben to the list of seminarians I pray for by name.

  38. JonPatrick says:

I will pray for all of the above during my rosary today.

Please pray for my son Chris as he enters the 3rd month of his postulancy that he will discern God’s will for him and for perseverance.

For the curing of a skin rash that the doctors don’t seem to be able to figure out.

For Russ Voris, father of Michael Voris of Church Militant who recently suffered a severe heart attack.

For a friend and parishioner who is starting a new life in another state that his new job will be fulfilling.

For the continued spread of the traditional Latin Mass especially here in my home diocese and for our Latin Mass chaplain.

  39. AnnTherese says:

For safety for immigrants and their children. That families will not get fractured and separated. That leaders will be enlightened and their hearts be softened. That Christians everywhere will speak and act out of love…

  40. Justalurkingfool says:

    Anneliese,

Look into this book and its relation to M.S.:

    The Wahls Protocol

If you are already aware of it and have looked into it,
then may it help you with your M.S. journey.

Those on this list you are all/each in my intentions.

    Karl

  41. VexillaRegis says:

Please pray for a good outcome for us, parents and children, as we deal with the two teachers in our sons class. Thank you!

  42. Anneliese says:

Please pray for the City of St. Louis. A verdict is to be made regarding a police officer accused of murdering a black man and planting evidence in his car. The officer waived his right to a jury trial and the judge will make the decision. Local activists and faith leaders are pressuring the judge to find the officer guilty. These people intend to create “disruption “. The governor is getting the National Guard ready. Everyone thinks a riot will occur. Please pray God sends his heavenly host to protect the city. Thank you.
